Makes sense. ADV was just starting out (more or less), so probably didn't have the money.

Uh, ADV is like ten years old now and the EVA movies have only been out like a year.

I remember when ADV first popped up on the very small scene. I don't think I have it anymore, but I got a mini-flyer with this new company called A.D. Vision from Texas. They were promoting their first two releases: Devil Hunter Yohko, Sol Bianca

If the army or navy ever looks upon heavens scenes, they would see that the streets are guarded by the United States Marines.

I'd like to amend my list.

Robotech season one (Super Space Fortress Macross)
Gundam SEED
Gundam 08th MS Team

Also, the movies have been around for much longer than a year, don't be stupid. I saw the movie a year ago, and I remember seeing stuff for it long before that. They were made the year(possibly two, I'ma call it 98, I'll look up the dates.. this makes me wish I had bought the movies -.-) following Eva, since that's when Gainax (the studio) had money to do it. I hate people who hate Eva and know nothing about it -.-

Also, ADV isn't the one's doing all the re-releasing, Gainax is. ADV is just picking them up. And there have only been two re-releases so far. The Directors Cut Edition, and the platinum Edition. The directors cut was Gainax (they added stuff they had cut out, not too disimilar to the star wars re-releases), and the Platinum edition was Gainax (went through every frame and fixed shake, color, and grit problems, and redid the audio for surround sound). ADV just bought the rights to them quickly. It's the Eva Remastered project that I've known about for a year or so now.

Once again, I hate people who hate Eva and don't know anything about it. I searched AnimeSuki for Space Runaway Ideon, couldn't find it. Time to search Rightstuf... Eh....

I'll get back to you on the release date for the movies. I'm fairly certain they've been here since at least 01.

Hey, if you can find it, PM me the info on where to obtain it. So far it seems they only released the first half of the series on DVD in Japan (well, the first half and the two compilation movies.)

As for AnimeSuki...as a rule, most fansub groups try to stick to newer titles anyways (I did a doubletake the day I learned a group was fansubbing the original Getter Robo on there)

Animesuki has some older stuff, too. I once found a series called dragon armor something. It was from the 80s o.o

No luck on Righstuf, either. Maybe I should talk my fansub group into hunting it down and subbing it. It's not subbed by many (we try to stick to lesser known stuff) so it fits that criteria. I'll take it up with our leader, and keep you posted.
