Probly a newbie subtitle question, heh :D

Post by Jaysin » Thu Sep 23, 2004 9:17 am

Hey, my friend sent me an AMV that he made and he included subtitles for when there is talking done by the characters. At first when i opened it i saw the subtitles, then when i paused it and started watching it again they were gone! I went back to where i saw the subtitles and they weren't there anymore! Heh, hopefully I just turned them off somehow, is this possible?

XviD 1.0
Ogg DirectShow Filter
Subtitle Filter - SubTitDS1400
DirectVobSub

Multi2: Japanese and English Audio
English subtitles (on|off)
-Japanese with English Subtitles
-English with English Subtitles

I'm using BSPlayer btw.

Can anyone help a newbie out with some directions on what I did wrong? I'm looking for Japanese audio with English subs. Thanks! :D

BSPlayer's not that great with subs. Use Media Player Classic and see if you have the same problem.

Thanks for the responce but i had no luck with Media Player Classic, it didn't display any subs. BSPlayer displayed them for a little, but then stopped. I also have winamp.

Any other suggestions?

Whenever I play an OGM file in WMP9/6.4, a little icon comes up in the taskbar, plus a green arrow icon for DirectVobSub if the file has subtitle streams. Right-clicking on the green icon pulls up a menu that lets me pick both the audio stream and the subtitle stream I want.

Does something similar happen in BSPlayer?
