NEW LINK UP!
(AVI, 21.4 MB (almost one-third smaller than the MPEG-1!))
Video: DivX-compatible XviD, 512x384, 29.97fps, full-quality 1st pass (constant quantizer 2, and 4 for B-VOPs)
Audio: LAME MP3, 160Kbps CBR

Video quality much improved (if I do say so myself) from the MPEG-1 version. Certain parts of the audio were boosted or had their dynamic ranges compressed.

Safe for watching full-screen, the way trailers were meant to be watched.

(Oh yeah, and for some reason, Ryan wanted me to point out that I did the filtering and encode on this version.)

Thanks again scintilla (I never can get xvid to work right threw my pc's), I really appreciate it ^_^.

Good work. I think the only thing you really notice to be different from professional trailer audio is the background noise of the microphones.
Some of the video-editing could be optimized a bit maybe, but it's alright :)

yea, I was gonna mention that, too. subliminal message: get me to do some voice-acting, and I'll use some of my dad's professional audio software to help out with teh noise and stuffs

Excellent work dude, really interesting editing. I think you could have smoothed out the whole thing a bit more (in terms of voicing, action cuts, etc.), but it's still very well-done.

A special  to scintilla for the great job with the compression. I haven't seen the MPEG, but this one looks awesomely smooth for such a small file.

ok scintilla is not officially the endoder for all new trailers ;p New encode looks very clean, gj on the filters. Still has that staircasy syndrome thing... probably on scenes you zoomed up. Not deinterlaced properly maybe? or maybe its some kind of frame blend feature causing it. look into it for your next.

And you voice actors gotta learn to not breathe into the microphones ;p

As I said before, good job all on a project that for the most part came out well.

I'll pretend that by "not" you meant "now" and take that as a compliment. :)

That is what is known (at least to me) as the "Deinterlace When Speed Is Below 100% Effect", all too common to videos made in Premiere 5.x and 6.x. :P

If there's a way to fix that in postprocessing, I don't know what it is (but it would be quite useful). I know my half-hearted TomsMoComp() attempt didn't help (in addition to making a lot of titles look worse).

Of course, in this one, the audible breathing was intentional in a few spots...

Yea, I thought I heard some in areas where it wasn't intended, but couldn;t find it back again when I searched for the exact positions. maybe it was my imagination. awell.
