since i started this topic i guess i should go 1st.....on my shelf i have...
112 dvds between 32 series
&
143 mangas between 32 series

i broke 400 DVDs last month, which is sad since i dont really watch anime ALL the time, and i still havent finished watching some of it, i think i just like buying things, i have over 50 volumes of manga, like 25 different series.

I know you didn't mean any harm. It probably wouldn't get ugly anyways.

Though I don't see how knowing how much someone else has in the way of anime will illicit any depth of thought other than counting DVD's on a shelf. Across the interweb to boot.

With so few, i don't call this a collection, i have the boxset of Noir and currently working on the Azumanga serie (#4 of 6 just got out), after that, i'll probably think about Cowboy Bebop, balance of my dvds are movies and the seasons of Cheers. As for manga, i have around 80, i wish i had more but since money doesn't grow on trees

there is no best...there are better..... but no best...collections are infinate with anime/manga

i would consider my collection best (or complete) if i could just find the anime i use to watch when i was like 7. in my country there is no such thing as censorship, so we got everything straight from Japan unedited, it was about a guy that seems to be a hitman or a merc of some sort, about the only things i can remember is that one of his arms was really a cannon (he could remove his hand down to mid forearm and it was some type of laser rifle) and the fact that he had so sort of robotic female assistant/partner, i don’t remember anything else.

the title of best collection is different for everybody, i have a friend who collects and only has about 100 DVDs but I consider his better since just about nobody can find that stuff anymore, and he buys nothing but the best series. just borrows everything else form me :-/
