Mini-DV Cam Help

I am trying to capture footage off of my Mini-DV camera, but for some reason it will not capture more than 30 seconds of footage. I have 17 GB free on the drive in question, so I do not think it is that. The time limit cap is not turned on. I have no idea why this is, and it's a real problem.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I used to have this happen to me, try reinstalling your DV codecs, un/re-plug your firewire cable, and reboot.
