The original question has been answered, and so far, apart from the original poster, I'm the only intelligent response on the page. Lock the thread, the query has been adressed properly so its now superfluous. The thread, that is.
:? It does depend because if he is using them for Music Videos, then he isn't necessarily doing it the wrong way, yet its not the best way. And for god sake's CALM DOWN. Not like we did anything wrong so just chill. Besides, he might be ripping it straight from the DVD which could ALSO be a problem, so, no the thread isn't over.

I looked up that guide... It says this...

"If you are using the AMVapp then the filters will auto load so all you need to do is have a script like this if you want to IVTC NTSC footage.

MPEG2Source("D:\myproject.d2v")
Telecide()
Decimate(5)"

What the hell is that?

That's an old AVS script for an old AVS version.

Deinterlacing and IVTCing are the same no matter what you're using the source for. It doest magically change the field order and which frames are doubled up if you want to watch the source as opposed to edit with it. Either way, at the end of it all he still wants to watch it. I just think you have no idea what you're talking about.

Oh and dont tell me to calm down, either.
