Anime is Evil
Thats right. As i sit here at 4:18am. I think, how many love stories have i watched that unfolded oh so perfectly. Well, lets see, every single one of my damn AMVs have been romance / drama. I am a anime romance fanatic. why? I dont damn know. Why am I even ranting. Anime is evil, it warps your mind into thinking love like that really exist, and hell, that girls like that even exist.
Geez, I just finished Ai Yori Aoshi, and damn, i cant stomach another perfect love story. It makes me feel so hollow.
All i can do is watch more, just to get rid of those times, after the end of the last episode of one series, till the first episode of the next.
I dont even know why i started this rant.
Just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same. i guess

*enter the rabbits, deer, birds, and other forest creatures*But hey sometimes reality is better at times too. You can experience the love all for yourself instead of watching it happen to them.

Well, I think you just need a change... Luckily, anime can still provide that, you know.
I get that sort of thing occasionally, though not very often and not usually with romance. I usually go back to my old preferences though, well, always, actually

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

knives,
get some sleep. Pop a couple of anti depressants. Go out drinking and enjoy the real world... once you're too tired to even stand.. grab more (insert alcohol of your choice) sit down and put on the bloodiest most vicious series you can find. hell maybe even the raunchiest hentai you can find. And watch it while getting obliterated. and if you still feel hollow, go back to the top of this paragraph and start over.

Hm, Knives, do I sense some sad story behind your....sadness? About the 'evil of anime?' I've never seen the perfect love story happen, but....I'm working on making it happen someday! Now we just gotta find some attractive girls that aren't whoes. That's the hard part...
Otohiko! Your avatar looks like a character sketch from 'Americas Most Wanted!' Come on man, get rid of it fo' rizzle!

You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

You're just upset, because the rules of the universe are different at 4:30 am.
Obviously the love stories portrayed in anime are not realistic. If they were they wouldn't be entertaining. On the whole, who wants to watch anime that simply apes real life? As I sit here, about the only thing that pops into mind is that Miyazaki film that has the woman who goes and picks flowers on her vacation time, and sort of (interaction wise anyway) Azumanga Daioh as being even pseudo realistic. I'm sure the Otaku on the .org know of lots of other examples, but so what. Watch something that matches your mood, or better yet wander aimlessly through the darkened streets muttering to yourself about the futility of it all... wait.. I mean, get some sleep.

Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.
