I have been crusin the internet for options and have downloaded a program called pak explorer, quake pak opener and many others but none work. Im hoping one of you guys know how I will be able to open and extract movie files from spiderman 2 for ps2. If you need information here are the files I extracted from the game: Amalga.pak,Dummy.dat,like six irx. files,movies.pak,sounds.pak and slus_207.76. Uhm... PAK files are the archive files for Quake engine games. o_O
You're most likely just seeing files with th SAME extension but not the same content. For instance, the mpeg files on a VideoCD are in .DAT extension, my PC recognises ALL DAT files as being VCD video streams thusly, but DAT is also a popular extension for MANY programs as 'DATA', totally NON-Video.
