I tried making a rap amv using a Public Enemy song... but then I noticed the complete lack of black... or even colored... characters to orient it around.

Anyway... Linkin Park... I'd imagine it's quite easy to make amvs with their material. Action oriented, noise producing, generalized lyrics that fit in any spot.

Hm... I'm trying to think of an anime that you couldn't fit one in... Momoiro Sisters? Piano...? Popotan... eh... nevermind. Pretty sure due to their generality, they can fit in anywhere. By not being specific in any way shape or form, they slip into every crevace. Whereas, a song specificly about a bunch of girls turned cyborgs for the Italian government however... one would be hardpressed to find more than one anime for that.

but japan aint like here. its all 99.9% one race, so they dont really think of other people. a while ago, i remember the prime minister of japan sayin the reason that the reason that japan scores higher then the US in school testin is cuz they dont got no darkies. course, it came more subtle then that.[/quote]

Any song can be perfect for making and AMV. It's up to the creator to make the song perfect for it. I still like LP, but I don't like how many senseless vids have been made using their songs. There are some good LP AMVs out there though.

Linkin Park...
Okay, considering I just bought Live in Texas FINALLY a couple of days ago, I'm not going to say that LP is bad. In fact, they have now become my favorite artists. But... sheesh, too much teen AMV angst with DBZ = screaming music with screaming, flashing art. Too much. It's like... asking to be given a seizure or something. O_o
You can have your Linkin Park.
You can have your Dragon Ball Z.
But you canNOT have them in the same place!
At least, not while I'm in the room. Let's let the good old DBZ/LP AMVs stay good... AND NOT OVERFLOOD THEM ANYMORE! EEEEEEYAAAAAAAH!!!

Well i see it this way, yes we do get bombarded with Linkon Park amv's, hey as long as a-m-v.org still have the bandwidth to post my videos, then i honestly dont give 2 shits.

But look Im not a fan of LP, or any type of "nu metal" for that matter, but it all comes down to this... If you dont like the music used for that amv, then dont waste your bandwidth downloading it!

I see it this way, I wont make an amv from a song I dont enjoy, im more a "Death Metal" fan I know some people here will say that DM is like a vacuum cleaner... It both sucks and blows. Fair enough, thats your opinion, my opinion is LP (all nu metal) and rap and alternative and techno and trans and r+b and anything that isnt metal... is just like a leaf blower... ect ect...

But hey like i said, if you dont like it dont download it ;)

the use of linkin park in anime music videos (especially naruto and DBZ) is just insane...ive never bought a linkin park CD in my life, yet i know practically every song they have ever released due to the amount of videos with their song use....dont get me wrong, they are a good band, but whe you hear "faint" for the millionth time, itll drive a person crazy...

granted, there are other AMV staple songs out there (i admit to using both puddle of mudd's "blurry" and an offspring song) and this messege is not to say to other AMV makers to stop making linkin park vids, but it is nice when i play a video with a song ive never heard before in a vid.

Does it matter? Not everyone can be a fan of Subliminal and Shadow. People have their tastes, and whatever dictates such taste, is generally very hard to change later on. If he's at that point, then there is no use arguing. I'm not a fan of Death Metal, and nothing anyone says is going to change that... and CerebralAssamite isn't fond of rap... and respectfully, nobody should try to say anything to change that.

Respectfully. Disrespectfully however...
