Post by Kragdrim » Sun Jun 20, 2004 11:57 am

YO

this one will participed at the French Japan expo(Paris) in July. I can't keep his in my computer, for me only  ... I can't keep a secret ...

SO the anime is NOIR. In this, i have researched a style between comics and anime for tell the history

For the music: it was a remix of sfelix da housecat: silverscreen, make by 2 many DJ's .

Enjoy the video, and of course comments will be really appreciated :)

Another Japan Expo video after Willow's... guess you french guys can't keep secrets, eh? ;)
I hope I can keep my current video outta here till after Connichi and AWA Pro :?

Good job on the video and all the effort you spent. Unfortunately there were only two very important things which kept me away from saying "Awesome": Action Synch and Lipsynch. Action was maybe a thing of taste and desire, many beats in the music weren't synched at all where you could've used this comic-screens, additonally I couldn't clearly see if some things were synched or not. Then Lipsynch... while action synch may be a thing of taste, this is totally off, sorry :?

But big compliments on masking and effects, some of them belong to the best I've ever seen technically. But only technically, and this is the point, sadly. Still, I like the video and will watch it a few times again :)

You obviously worked hard for the effects. But I didn't like them. At all. :/ Was there a single frame with unaltered colours?

As the video was nothing but effects, that's pretty much all I have to say about it. Sorry, I don't want to sound overly harsh, but that's how I felt about it.

Ok, I'm officially stupid. I had an Invert() function on in ffdshow.

God...

*smacks self on head*

All right, now that I watched it again PROPERLY, I can say that the effects look better. :P I still don't really like them. I get a cheap Die Another Day 2 feeling. :/

X2

I was mixed on the actuall effects aswell. I think the main cavet for me was the clips seemed random. no story or mood that I could find at all.

Still I enjoyed it for the same reasons as JCD. I also agree Lipsynch needs tightening up, its somewhat off.

I liked how you had at times the scene edited to have just the characters in the frames above the actual scene playing... that must have taken a lot of work editing the frames independently (since I don't think you could have effectively chroma keyed all of that).

And the lipsynch isn't off at all, it just doesn't look right. It's really the images being shown. I felt the timing was great, though.

And having the frames cycle with white borders all the time I didn't like since I felt you should have added more variety to the visuals. I like it, though.

C'est belle.

WilLoW is a very bad example !!! Moreover, he lead other guys like Kragdrim in his own decadence

About this video, good music video, but too much effects and vague lip sync for me :?

thx for your opinion.

so the lipsynch must be improve.

For the action synch, it s a choice , because i wanted to keep the rythm, so i didn't want to override.
