Lame. Although if it's not done well I don't think it should be done at all.

I did a book report over Ender's Game without reading the book... I got an A- !

Anyhow, MGS2 would be perfect for anime for the very reasons that it didn't make a good game story. Anime doesn't make any sense alot of the time, so it would be great!

I took an inclass exam on the "Heart of Darkness" and recieved an A and I never got past page 3 of the book. Basically I conjured all of my answers from what I knew of Apocalypse Now and bullshited the essay portion of the test. Some of my classmates were royally pissed that they had to read the book only to recieve a lower grade than me.

As for Metal Gear anime... I doubt that it would work. Xenogears/Xenosaga or the Breath of Fire series on the other hand has great potential

Xenogears

Hey Metal Gear is cool.

The story would need some refinement, but it kick ass.

Of course I would suggest going back to the beginning. Long before the PS2 game.

Yeah Xenogears would be awesome. It seemed way to short with too few cut scenes in the game.

But damn what a story.

Psychology, Religion, giant robots, and DBZ style fighting. Sounds like we have a winner.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I'd love to see an anime interpretation of Dune (either the first novel, the first three novels, or go all out and do the 6 mains)

Either way, with the right people behind it, I think it could kick the royal arse

Amen to that!

I've done that before . . . Not on Ender's Game, but on T.H. White's "The Once And Future King." I should really go back and read the rest of that . . .

But anyways, you should read Ender's Game anyways if you didn't go back and read it. It's quite excellent.

When I was watching the interviews with the Weta Workshop crew on the Eva Directors Cut DVD, they mentioned something about Mad Max...I think that it would be interesting to have a series based on the Mad Max Character...not adapting the original stories, but new adventures you know? I'm not sure who I would really trust to animate it though, because it seems like a lot of times the animation does not quite fit the tone of the series...Some examples of this are Noir, Hellsing and Zaion...that's just my opinion though...

I think there was an attempted movie adaption some years ago, but it never materialized.
i talked to this college professor who came to my school and talked about orsona scott card. aparently he knows the guy personally! he says some of the main reasons why the movie is being delayed so much is

1) cuz card has like 3 different scripts that go at enders game from 3 different angles

and 2) he's fighting with the studio because they want to make ender 16 and put in the latest teeny bopper hearth throb.

im reminded of when Richard Wright was aproched for a movie of "black boy" in the 1960's i think, AND THEY WANTED TO MAKE THE MAIN CHARACTER WHITE!!!!! :x :x    this is what happens when money makers miss the point.

but i think the deal is still on. but the release date could be like 5 years away!
