Interesting thread. :? This makes me want to go back in this section and see if that 'EK is leaving' thread is still in here as well. It's like watching reruns of the old classic soap operas, 'Days of Our Lives' or maybe even 'Young and the Restless.' So much has changed, yet so much is just the same. Sad, yet interesting...

EK didn't make a leaving post - Joe Croasdaile made one for her to add to his grand exit :)

Hmmm, that Maboroshi's thread is quite interesting. Shows how there have always been the same discussions over and over and over. Eh, those perfect 10's are always gonna be a torn for some people :? . And this forum is "The New Forum" ?

"It has so much graphic artifacts that it's hard for me to get ahold and post. The previous was better."

LMAO I can only imagine what has been before this  .

The "Old Forum" was Phorum. No avatars. No signatures. (at the time, at least) And the forum info (ie: thread postcounts) went wonky when posts were deleted by an admin.

Actually, its the same problem with Profesional actors and musicians, and people who become famous. I bet they havn;t changed a thing since they became big (the elder editors) but its jkust that they are more famous now, so everyone "Notices" how their personalitys are more than when they were starting out. Hence they also get more critisism just like famous people in hollywood. I personally have no problem with people voicing their opinion and being upfront with their feelings than trying to be false about it. I like people that are honest and speak their mind.

However, I do think that in the forums, people should be more layed back than they are, For example, A newb posts something in the forums that has obviously been posted and answered before, maybe even has a sticky on it. Instead of kindly pointing that unfortuante newb to the sticky or other post, and KINDLY telling him/her that he/she should search the forum first and check stickys and read whatever guides are pertaining to the question, many of us are ready to chop off the newbs head for his/her post, and post very aggressive sounding replys. I have seen it many times on this board, and when I see it I try to offset it with a kinder reply to it. No matter how dumb someone seems for their post, treat them as a human being. You do not know how much agrivation that person might have been through trying to figure out the problem, and it just slipped their mind to check the obvious. Harsh replys to the thread will only make them feel worse.

I think Phade says it best when he says in the rules: "If you don't have something good to say, don't say it at all"

Anyway, I do agree with most of what you said. Elitism as far as AMV creating goes though, I will leave that topic alone. It doesn't realy bother me, unless they are realy abnoxious and obvious about it. (which I havn't realy seen much of on this forum)

Funny how the original post talks of the ORG going down the crapper, but here we stand two years later, still going strong. :P
