Expermental Kino's Journeys AMV

Post by OtakuForLife » Fri Apr 16, 2004 11:14 pm

With this video I decided to use a still motif to tell the story of the
first DVD of Kino's Journeys. My next true video will-be "when the
rush comes"which I will start working on as soon as I can buy
more Kino DVDs.This video was made to test out a theory can
one's life be sumed up by stills and how can I make the audence
eel the action? ( I tried using black fades for danger and intesenty).
This video is also a parody, the audio is from the TV show Night Rider
that stared a very young David Hasslehoff. The car talked
and Kino's Journeys the bike talks. I couldn't help ,but,
make certin comparasions. So, sit back I hope you enjoy the
video light-show this video provides for a whole min.

You used the Knight Rider theme song?! :shock:

I *love* that music, since I first saw the show. ^__^ I'll watch it for that, even though I know nothing about the anime. I've never seen a vid using this music.

Hmm, is it just me or some of the cuts seem out of sync of the beat.

There are a few spots where the timing seems to be off, but you already know about some of those.

This.... is too much fun. Especially since I've seen some episodes of Night Rider.

There are few moments where I used scene cuts instead of black
and there are times, I can't tell cuase my computer likes to freeze
on play-back. I tried to match what seemed reasonable, the ending
is a little unmatched ,but, I wanted the all the snapshots to be in
the ending for the obivous montage.

I'm probably listening to the wrong sections in the song, because it seemed to flow well to me. ^_^;;

As I said, I'm completely biased because of the song, so I don't know if I'd like it with a different track. From this, I think it looks neat, and that the grays and stills went well with the pitches, the mood. My main complaint would be that the quality looked blotchy - little squares - at times, like it could use a higher bitrate or a smaller aspect ratio. And I'm a little confused about this 'Kino' - in the beginning it looks like a girl, in the second part it looks like a guy, but the first part was a flashback, so now I'm thinking she cut her hair or something.

Needless to say I didn't follow the story very well, not knowing the anime. ^_^;

She runs away and acts very tomboyishly... She takes on a different
persona, throws past away and becomes a traveler.

I'm not the type to bitch about star ratings ,but, geez...
2.67

1: Turkey
2: Barely Watchable
3: Average
4: Good
5: Excellent

So this was between Barely Watchable and Average.
