  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

FFX2 - If We Hold On together

Post by Pyle » Sun Apr 11, 2004 12:32 am

Well it is actually the entire movie even though it is marked trailer. I haven't added the special effects that everyone has heard me whining so much about in General AMV :P . You guys will be impressed when you see the full version, trust me.

This vid has gotten a lot of praise in the old version.

Thanks in advance if you click on it!

Come on guys, 40 hits and not one reply?

Don't make me start whining again. Flint knows what happens to my whining topics.

How come you're releasing this version if you're going to release a full version later? But anyway...

I don't know if I want to say too much about this version if it's not the "finished" version. But as for this version, it needed cross fades. And why are there japanese subtitles in the footage? If it's downloaded footage, I'd recommend renting the game and ripping it yourself. If you're not doing that for the full version, you should.

And just in my opinion: since the FFX-2 footage is so limited, maybe you should use FFX too. It would keep you from having to repeat scenes, and you'd have a lot more to work with.

For the singing parts at the end, I think you might have done too much lip syncing. Since it's not like anime where the characters' mouths are either open or closed, it's really hard to lip sync with those scenes if you do so much of it. It looks a little unnatural and forced the way it is.

And I'd like to see more syncing on drum beats.

But the ending was very emotional. It worked really well with the music there.

Guess I forgot to say that this was for Castor Troy's WMM contest. All tools are prohibited except WMM :( . So a lot of the effects were saved for a later version.

I pride myself on doing mainly pure videos. If you add FFX in, it's like taking the easy way out.

A person commented that near the end, I should try and match her lips to the vocal s a bit more  So I tried and failed.

The next version has meaningless white flashes on drum beats, so don't worry :P. And scenes changes sometimes.

Where did you get the song from?
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

I want to buy it, but I can't find a place that sells it.

*puts a hand on your shoulder*

My friend of friends, that is what Kazaa is for.

Oddly enough, the remake has a .4 star rating less then the older one

Guess I need to learn my remakes. People are complaining about the things that they wanted added in LAST time
