Attrition - GW action vid
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=35649
Anime: Gundam Wing
Song: Come with me
Artist: Puff Daddy (w/ Jimmy Page)
This is mostly an action vid, so if you don't like mecha action, you probably won't want to watch this one. There is a sidenote of my typical shonen ai leanings, but nothing that should be squicking to watch (the action hides it well). The title pretty much tells the idea of the vid - from a line in the dubbed version where Dorothy says they're waging a 'war of attrition' on the pilots. That's the idea here - neverending run, the old 'endless waltz'.
Warning, it's a fast vid, and a long song - pretty hefty download.

Bah, Puff Daddy.
Well, Page manages to make this song decent.

Just as I had run out of things to download.

I'm making note to download this video later.
Right now, it's 3:30 AM, and I'm supposed to be writing an overdue essay. Last thing I need is further distractions.
And it took me a while to realize that you didn't refer to him a P. Diddy. All the better, though. A name like "P. Diddy" just asks for people to laugh at you.

Your editing in this really reminds me of Fluxy's Eternal Damnation, but not as clean or smooth. My only problem with it is that you used clips with way too much motion, so it was hard to decipher where the cuts were. Other than that, it's really good for an action video.
I also really liked the frames during the slower part, but the fades to black really clashed with them. And I didn't really like the use of those orange frames later during the faster part.
All in all, I thought it was enjoyable. ^_^ Low reviewability because of the length, but that's no big deal. The only thing I really disliked was the speed of most of the clips.

I don't really like still frame action vids, so I know what you mean about the clips having too much movement in them. Nothing to say in defense of that, it's what I like to see in an action vid. ^_^;flint_the_dwarf wrote:Your editing in this really reminds me of Fluxy's Eternal Damnation, but not as clean or smooth. This was an odd addition - I used the orange (actually more ramrod gold) because pale colors really clashed with the action section I was putting it in the middle of. The soft section was easier - I just went with the shades that matched Quatre's eyes. ^_^;; The fades to black there - well, a dark blue might have done it, but I wanted something dark instead of the soft short white fades (matching the blue).I also really liked the frames during the slower part, but the fades to black really clashed with them. Ohh, ramrod gold, of course. Well, I couldn't tell. It's orange to me; guess that's the price for being a guy. ;pArigatomyna wrote:I used the orange (actually more ramrod gold)
Anyway, what was the point of frames in that part at all? For the slow part, it made some sense to me... but not for that part. I haven't really done any picking apart of the concept though, so maybe that's it.
