almost everything was perfect in the video, the only worth mentioning exception to the fluidity of it is the text used, and for this being one of the few times i've seen text used (of course not mentioning unwanted subs) i think they were used in a very original way

question, was it possible to add borders to the text, like have white letters but the letters themselves outlined/bordered in black? i haven't tried before so i don't know

Ah yeah, that would've been a good idea. I've never tried that before, though, and all I've got is MSPaint.

the video flows? the only thing consistent with the images is that they're all of rei (that's not even entirely true), and yet this gives the video some sort of a tremendous harmony? you can barely rest your eye on an image for more than a millisecond, and yet it flows? "oh, but wait!" says you, "it's good because it flows while still having that fast pace on it!" right now, it's just a bunch of images and some text moving really fast to a song. there is no flow. the images mean entirely different things than what the text is trying to get you to believe, and even then it's fucking looped for christ's sake.

THAT TEXT GOES WELL WITH THAT PICTURE THAT MEANS IT IS INSPIRED I WILL NOW GO MAKE WALLPAPER SOUNDTRACKS

oh wait, do i need to watch it again? why the hell would you say that? there's nothing to get, and the only reason anyone would watch this again is to read the damned text.

Well, I'll admit my eyes itched, but I for one did notice quite a bit of flow.

But, again, being a rather unusual vid, it's bound to be ambiguous...

I didn't make this for the Org, I had one person in mind and I made it according to that person's tastes. You can criticize me all you want, but I succeeded in doing exactly what I set out to do. And there's no better feeling of accomplishment I've ever felt. If other people like this and can see it as the artistry that I saw in my head, that's awesome. That's why I released it. It sounds like you're taking this video as a personal insult, and that's the most retarded thing I've ever seen you do. You could criticize like anyone else, but you have to add all this insult and mockery that takes away any use your criticism might have been. I don't care if you don't like my video, just give this meaningless tirade a rest.

Same problem I see with any video that relies on subtitled messages - you need to pause it the first time through because stopping the footage long enough for people to read the text ruins the action sync. And if the text *was* oulined (that's an option in Showbiz, but doesn't seem to be available in most editors) - the viewer would look more closely at the text than the images.

I think of this video as a collage of images that create an emotion or thought for each section. It won't work on all, and it's probably subliminal for those with poor eye sight. But there's no point complaining because other people like it and you don't - why do that? Flow is a matter of opinion - do you really want to argue with people's opinions about something you don't even have to watch? Just think of all the time you've spent complaining about this video - you could have been watching something you enjoyed instead...

if you made it for one person cj, why did you put it on this server? couldn't you just have given it to them on a cd? even if that were impossible, you wouldn't need to brag about it the way you're doing.

but hey, i'm just being cynnical. i know you love this movie, and it's not as though it's horrible or that there's anything wrong with being bland and repetative, it's just that maybe you could make it better the next time around. you've got awesome skills, but you might get stuck if you stay where you are now. even if it's a small project, it might broaden your conceptualization abilities if you just try shit out, you know?
