Well... I can't really just say I spent hours working on timing and flow after you said I was matching random beats. You are entitled your opinion, and the sync I aimed for simply wasn't the kind that you look for or like. Frankly, I think that it's not very random at all... though I do switch between syncing with drums and vocal inflections. Not much else to say.

I think you'll like it, the last minute or so is much better than the rest. ^_^ I wanted it to end strong.
Thanks, that means a lot. ^_^ I wanted to make this video sort of to contrast his, while his was slow and emotional, I wanted to make mine fast and powerful.SSJVegita0609 wrote:I actually found this much more enjoyable then Imagine, nice work. Frankly, I was quite happy with the sync, it was simple enough so that the meaning of each clip wasn't lost and complex enough to hold my attention throughout the vid.

That's why I liked this video - I noted that in the beginning beta that I saw. The editing *does* look random if you're expecting the typical notes to be emphasized each time they fall. But the pace is set and held - it's only the emphasized notes that vary. It means you can't predict the scenes, it doesn't fall in a typical pattern that would get old on reviewing. You had this exact same type 'random' sync with your 'Romance Entails' vid. But there is a pattern to it, and the variation works for this sort of 'story' - particularly since you have the freedom to pause a few seconds longer on certain scenes - which would have been limited if you kept to the expected rhythm. I call it your editing style, it makes your amvs unique.flint_the_dwarf wrote:...though I do switch between syncing with drums and vocal inflections.
As for the effects - I'm still not sure about some of the vertical clips toward the middle of the vid, but I really liked the 'commentary' section. Maybe it's because now I see it set into the rest of the story, but I didn't have any problems with it at all. ^_^
My only complaint about this vid is that it gets very cool for the climactic end (the intense action/angst scenes) and then just fades out. I wanted to see more.

That's a very good way of putting it, thanks. ^_^Arigatomyna wrote:That's why I liked this video - I noted that in the beginning beta that I saw. Yeah... I probably should have taken those out. ;pAs for the effects - I'm still not sure about some of the vertical clips toward the middle of the vid
Damn, I was afraid that would happen. My only complaint about this vid is that it gets very cool for the climactic end (the intense action/angst scenes) and then just fades out. I wanted to see more.![]()

Lol, thanks a lot. ^_^This is now my favorite vid for this anime - namely for the song and the fact that it isn't as slow and angsty. I prefer the hard angst over the soft 'gonna make me feel bad all day' type. >.>
