:? hey i read the how to make an amv but i still dont understand it its just really confusing for me like i know that i will need better software but i am not positive on what i need to get i think my player is alright to play amvs but i dont think i have the right stuff to make one and i dont have the first idea on where i can get the right software

Check that guide - it gives links to the programs you'll need to get your footage and audio, and explains in great detail the theory of compression.

To actually *edit* videos, check the 'software help' forum - there's a sticky in there with a list of programs people use. Some are free for download, others cost a few hundred to buy. I'm sure you'll find one that suits your needs. ^_^

The art of AMV making is not restricted to the grammatically correct.
