Well the very first anime I saw was Princess Mononoke. I don't know exactly when it was, but I didn't really know about anime. Then in December of 2002 I discovered Final Fantasy VIII. That's what really started me into Anime. The first series after that was Neon Genesis Evangelion, and now I love anime. The only problem is that I'm in High School right now with no job, so I have no money and no time to watch anime. But as soon as I'm outa there and have a job, my collection will begin.

Sailor Moon, of course, but that didn't really lead to the OBSESSION.
That was just last year, when a good friend started sending me all these Kenshin/Trigun pics when I told him that I thought Japanese animation looked "cool" See what he did to me? SEE?!?!?!?!?!

Oh, I only have two quarters left of High School. I've just been mooching as much as I can off of my friends, i.e. borrowing their dvd's, etc.Jonathan02us wrote: And how long will that be ...... i would hate to have to wait very long to get an anime series ...

1) I liked Aoshi when we first meet him at the beginning of the series... he started to annoy me later on, for some reason.LordSesshoumaru wrote:I LUV Kenshin. Isn't Aoshi-sama hot!!! I like Himura Kenshin but I like the Battousai even better. Have you seen any of the OVA movies?
2) I've seen both OVAs--watched the first one before the series and the second one after. After finishing the first OVA the silliness of the series, especially the first few eps, completely threw me off. And the second OVA annoyed me--I didn't like the change in character designs particularly much (though now I find them interesting, if nothing else). The story for the second OVA didn't feel like it was done well.
I actually picked Kenshin as my second series to watch because my friend had a Worms party named after them and I wanted to know who these crazy people were...

I always liked cartoons and noticed Akira being sold in a catalog I use to buy comics with from time to time. Ordered it from there. So there was just more animated movies/shows for me to pick up and watch.
It was also more mature since I got into it as I was in high school. And I hated that they took Aeon Flux off of MTV.

forgot to list the anime.
DB and Z/Sailor Moon/Ronin Warriors before cartoon network picked them up.
Sci Fi channels Saturday movies (the ones I caught were - 3x3 eyes, Akira and one about a robot bed being inhabited by the patients wife and taking him on a day outside, Cat Eyes or something - cat like alien killing evreyone aboard a spaceship).
My friend in high school let me borrow Project A-ko, crying freeman and Dominion Tank Police.
