There could be tons of jokes on her if she were blonde.

If the creators wanted that they could have easily made her blonde but obviously they didn't.

I can't believe no one has pointed this out yet: The Nazis seriously misused the word "Aryan". It originally referred to a race from the Indian area. So no, she wouldn't be... just that Hitler would have liked her better.

Another thing I can't believe no one else pointed out is that Asuka is blonde in the manga.

Odd thing is, though, I've seen later covers, and her hair gets redder and redder

I guess the anime influenced it, but her hair is blonde in many pictures.
