So you're saying that because you used a DIFFERENT Gundam series and edited the song, it's different? It's still the same darn thing. This isn't your only case of this. Remember when you wanted to re-do, dead on, my "Just Rock 'n Roll" video? Or Scott's "Live and Let Die" ? How is re-doing someone's video "bettering" yourself in any way?

You're free to do whatever you want, yes. The difference is that no-one says they're "bettering themselves" by copying someone else's idea or concept... except you.
The thing about scotts video was a complete joke,

I said it within' the hearing (er actually, TYPING) of "friends", I wasnt going to re-do scotts video, if I was, I would have already done it.
Of course you can't MAKE anyone do anything. The fact that you're going out of your way to cram an opinion that's hardly well-thought-out down peoples' throats is a little unsettling, though.
No, I said, and STATED, this was my opinions, period.

Nemoxs wrote:And I've been doing this for about 6 years, yes you people see alot of people as "newbies" but we're all not particularly as "newbish" as you think.

So yes, when I say this in this artical, I might not be speaking from the "Org's" complete point of view, because quite frankly, it's just me writing this,

When I wrote this, I didn ask the other members, "hey do you think im right?" NO! because I wrote this from my point of view.
.... huh? Still trying to understand this part.
What I'm saying is,

I've been around for 6 years, and yet you call me a newbie, I just stuck with vcrs longer than most people, and because of that, I didnt start actually editing on the computer till around 2001.

and, I was also pointing out, it's my point of view, I made this clear.
I'm not the one telling people what they should and shouldn't do with their own artform... I'm simply explaining to you that it's no-one's place to tell anyone how they should or should not make their videos.

Just because YOU don't agree with how they're making them shouldn't give them any less motivation for doing so.
Nemoxs wrote:And I'm sure you just don't give a fuck.
Quite honestly, no, I don't care what you think. What bothers me is that other people (who don't know better) may read what you're typing and think you've got some sort of logical reason behind what you're saying, and may be swayed from doing the video they want to do. That's not cool.
*sighs* once again, MY OPINION, DOES NOT MEAN...

"FOLLOW ME NOW OR DIE"

Who's the stalker... ?

You've been banned from my message board, you've been banned from my chat, you've been banned from the MTT forums... did it ever occur to you that maybe there's a reason for all this? YOU came to US... we're not the ones initiating all of these ridiculous little "wars" you seem to enjoy starting.
Actaully I STILL post in the MTT forums everyonce in a while, and I'm not banned from your chat, I still talk to most of the people in there almost daily.

Like I said, I'm not the one throwing nonsense around. I'm just replying to you in a public forum; if you can't deal with what's being said to you, then maybe you shouldn't have said it in the first place. Like you keep bringing up, everyone's entitled to their own opinions.
But every chance you get, you nail me to the wall, you like to, I dont know why, but you have a certain THING with me.

Nemoxs wrote:Probably not, but this servers no purpose other than to get people to read my text, and see what I'm talking about, even if it's limited to my scope.
This makes no sense. I can't understand what you're trying to say.
The point being is,

If people are reading this, then their obviously intune with the fact that I MYSELF am writing it.
No, quite different.

There's a big difference between writing about how a professional company is handling a licensed property for public consumption via money, versus fans making some art for fun on their computer.

When you're paying for a product, you have the right to complain about it. When it's a 13 year old making a DBZ video because he likes the explosions, you have no such right.
How about when it's a 21 year old male that does it?

And besides, it's the same thing.
Then what was the point of your discouraging people... ?

Maybe you should just stop watching videos, all-together. You'll probably be a happier person. You won't have all these pent-up agressions towards 13 year olds that want to have fun, and you won't be forced to parade around on message boards and newsgroups proclaiming to have the "end-all" attitude and knowledge towards a subject.

We're all still learning and experimenting, no matter how old we are or how long we've been at it. No-one wants to be told how to do their thing... so don't.
Dude do you relize what you're saying? do you?

Most of the people here arnt 13 anymore, some are even out of college, it was an expression, an opinion..

In case you're wondering, this is the internet, people write stuff (most of the time, their opinons, OMG YES, PEOPLE HAVE OPINIONS!), to put on it, it's a pretty cool service, you should try and log on it somtime.

I think it's time for a hokey old saying....

Nemoxs, If you dislike certain videos, just don't watch them again. No need to make a thread like this.

Basically you are asking, no, begging people to stop creating videos which you dislike.

How can people create videos, knowing which ones that you like or hate? Do they have to follow your guidelines for making an AMV that you like?

Okay, wait a minute.. What if some people actually read this thread and stop making videos? What if they didn't read this thread and create a video that you actually like or even love?

I realize that this post may not sound very sensible, but I just want you to know that you're taking the wrong approach to this.

This thread is just another reason for people to give up making AMVs. I'm sure that people in the AMV community wouldn't like that. If you don't like certain videos, just stop watching them. Simple as that.

To sum it up: Don't tell people to stop making videos, because other people may appreciate them even if you don't.
