FMP?f will be 15 "episodes" broadcast 11 times. There are four broadcasts that were two 10-minute episodes, and seven 20-minute episodes. So there's one more broadcast (actually on the air as I type), and an unbroadcast episode on the first DVD.
The unbroadcast episode was pulled because it dealt with the kidnapping of a child, and a real kidnapping occurred the week before it was due to be shown.

I thought it was hilarious, I saw a chunk of the first series at my local Anime Society and Ive borrowed some more episodes, recently Ive started seeing the fumoffu series, If you can watch both I recomend both for different reasons. Although, I'd also say, If you knew the characters backgrounds from the first series better, It DOES make fumofu funnier... But thats just my opinion.
The very thing that I am trying to prove to not exist is the very thing holding me back...

The whole black technology thing was never even elaborated. In all, Arm Slaves (What a stupid name for a type of weapon) have been developed from the 'Black Technology' which wasn't aquired threw traditional research. It all seems to be inside 'The Whispered's heads, or something.Cagbagger wrote:I have to agree with DJ_Izumi.
I hate this new trend in anime, where they create a non-sensical scenario, never bother to explaine it, and simply use it as a vehicle to move a common non-so-special plot.

The whispered thing sucked and the best thing about Fmp was Sagara and Chidoris relationship I could not disagree with you more.DJ_Izumi wrote:Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu seems to be a waste to me, especially when FMP could have been continued as a serious series, explaining the whole 'whispered' thing for example.
Instead, we have Sagara with 70% of his brain cells removed, and the series has been turned into high school humor drama.
Sagara was NOT that stupid, or crazy in the original series. I'm honestly really disappointed by the way they've gone with FMP.
Mr Oni
Purity is wackable!

This one follows more along the lines of the Manga than the Anime that's all.. In the first one they took shortcuts with Characters I think.. The stupid crazy thing is just awsome though..
Personally when I watched Full Metal Panic! I prefered the fun eps over the serouis ones.. The one when Sagara went of by himselfs with that Nuclear arms deal was kinda boring..Spoiler wrote:I love how he blew up the shoe lockers because someone 'tampered'with his locker. (love note ep)
Always remember you're unique, just like everyone else

If you read the Manga you'll understand where Fumoffu comes from.
Everything that happens in Fumoffu is happening DURING the first season of FMP. Hence Fumoffu is not a sequel at all, it's more like going back and inserting new episodes into the first season, where they belong chronologically.
When you're reading the manga it makes much more sense.
Essentially for time constraints Gonzo cut out most of the highschool comedy portions of the FMP TV series. They told the mroe military side of the story, leaving out most of the silly stuff. Fumoffu goes back and fills in the bits from the manga that weren't included in the first series.

I agree. I hope they make a third season. It has potential to answer some questions and close out the series.Mroni wrote:Right and whats from stopping a third season being made? If you have plenty of serious stuff to work on also.
Mr Oni
But you don't have to watch the first season to ubderstand the second season because it is mostly the comedy they had to cut from the first season. Good show, I recommend you finish what you can of it.
