He's right, DONT get him started, I've had this arguement with him before, and it gets nowhere.
Anyways, as for the vid, I can see the basic logic in picking In the End and the Berserk anime, anyone who's seen the ending will understand what it is you're basically going for. But there are certain aspects of the song that don't do the full story justice, mainly that it makes Guts out to be training simply for the sake of training and dismisses all character interactions. Regardless, I shall give this vid a look see and post back in a bit.
Calling all berserk fans. (amv premiere)

Well i was surprized here, I was ready to pull out my bitching card and say linkin park sucks(dont get me wrong they still do) but the video was better than I thought, Mainly because the average lp vid has no skill at all. Some of your effects were bad though, not needed, but some on the other hand were well done and I give you credit for that. I still think the song choice was wrong for one reason, not that its linkin park, just that I feel you tryed to hard to make it look good, that some of it didnt flow, I mean you synced a lot but still I think it was a little off. Still im keeping this video, This is literally one of the only lp vids I have currently, Though in my past ive made gay horrible videos with lp and other bands that have no originality, but thank god ive moved on, from back in the days of 2000-2001. I really do give you credit for making a decent lp video, with one of the most overused songs evar.

I've send phade an email, and He's had several days to remove the old one. Unfortunately, I've created a little bit of a situation. The old prototype AMV (the one I hope no one sees) is the one getting all of the opinions (and they are damn good opinions too). So if you leave an opinion, leave it with the NON-XVID version, if possible.Cory Townsend wrote:Should I post my review on the Xvid?
Thanks!
Phantom_112, I disagree with you on the "vacuum" qualities of Linkin Park as a band. But I completely understand your hatred for Linkin Park AMV's. If you consider Berserk to be one of your more favored animes, you should probably watch my vid just once. Its not an action packed bloodfest type AMV, but focuses on the characters and relationships (when I say characters I mean the 3 that mattered to me, Guts, Caska, and Griffith). I really struggled about using this song, because it fits so well with the ultimate premise of berserk (although it looks like some may disagree). I did not use the song because it is a "REALLY COOL SONG, LET'S PUT ACTION TO IT!" I felt I had to make an AMV to honor berserk, and this is the song that came to me.
As far as the effects. I agree with my critics. This was, in fact, my first AMV ever, and I understand that some effects (mainly miniscreens) were overused and less than impressive. I did TRY to be innovative, and I honestly think I succeeded more than I failed. That being said, I am still growing as an editor but I do understand how mistakes can take one out of an experience. I am flattered that so many of you liked this video, I honestly expected a few bitter critics. Thank you for your time. If this video, really impressed you, feel free to leave an opinion. I check them regularly.
