  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

You either liked it, or it influenced you to do bad things. Either way...

I thought that was cool. ^_^ Definitely my favorite Hellsing vid - I just love it when people make an anime fit a song (and I didn't have to know the anime to follow it - the song explained everything).

Nice... 8)

I take it you haven't seen Fluxmeister's "Eternal Damnation"?

On the whole, Mr. Pilkington's was alright, but as far as Hellsing AMVs I've seen better. The lip synching was okay, but it was kinda annoying how it kept cutting away. I realize it's easier to do it that way, but really, getting cut off mid sentence is one thing, but when you cut em off right in the middle of a word, yeah. The other thing, holy freakin keeristmas, learn how to turn off deinterlacing in Premiere! Yours is like the 5th AMV I've downloaded today with pixelating scattered throughout. Really, it's not hard to do, right click on the clip, choose Video > Field Options, take out the lil check at the bottom. Easy breezy. Other than that the video was alright, not really my pot of coffee as far as editing techniques and song, but I'm sure some will really like it.

Heh, I guess you missed the-

-part of my post. Yes, I've seen that vid, yes it's a great vid. But it's not my favorite and I don't think anything you or anyone else says will change that fact. Please don't tell me what I should choose as my favorite vid for an anime - I have my own tastes whether they seem bad or off to you or not. ^_^;;

I don't think he was trying to tell you what to think. ^_^

On the whole, Fluxy did a decent job explaining the story and he's an amazing editor but I think Pilkington did a very nice job making the anime fit the song and I think I may like it more than Fluxy's (maybe more, maybe less, maybe equally) but for different reasons.

However, I couldn't get much of the sync for reasons I don't want to get into right now. -_-;;

Keep it up, Pilkington. :wink:

LOL, nope, I was just wondering if he had seen it or not. I tend to judge videos more on their technical aspects than anything, everything else is pretty subjective. I mean a couple of my absolute favorite AMVs are Mirai MM's "For The Love of Li" and Sephyre's "Goddess Of Inspiration" but neither of them is very intriguing on the technical aspect, just very simple cuts.

She. ^_~

And that's fine. I tend to care less about technical aspects since I'm a story buff myself, but this vid was just fun to watch, and I really enjoyed the way the footage worked with the song. I'll get my chance to pick it apart when I review it, here, I was giving my initial response to a video I really loved watching and expect to be keeping for quite a while. ^_^
