I review everything I watch (unless it's horrible or good enough that I have nothing constructive to say about it). I also review vids for anyone who leaves an opinion on my own (I make a note of that in my vid descriptions - call it advertising my review methods ^"^ ). I've gotten behind lately, but I'm pretty consistent.

As for getting reviews - op exchange does help a lot, but I don't want to use it anymore (except for free reviews). If you think about it, you're forcing people to watch vids that may not appeal to them - and you're forced to review things that you may hate (genre-wise) which hurts the other person as well. But if you make a thread warning away certain vids (for certain anime, genre, etc) you can usually have a nice exchange with the ones who apply. Or you can trade with everyone there - that's the quickest way to get opinions.

And I think the ratio is 100 downloads for 1 opinion - but don't worry too much if you go past that. It happens.

You can also spam/advertise your vid by putting a link in your sig like I did with my video's banner.

i never thought of it that way. i have a vid thats over 170 downloads and i think 7 ops.

Well, my 'Fallen' video has 171 downloads and 27 ops, but I pimped that baby for all it was worth on the op exchange.

One thing that worked for me (i.e. gave a certain video 500+ hits in the span of a day) was to have Koopiskeva spam it

go to the OP exchange in the other part of the forum. omnistrata also has something started where he'll op 'newbs' ..or something like that. and go announce your videos, if you haven't already in AMV announcements.
