step 8 1/2: amv announcements
step 9 1/2: spam people's private messages with your announcement of your new video.
i never thought of it that way. i have a vid thats over 170 downloads and i think 7 ops.Arigatomyna wrote: As for getting reviews - op exchange does help a lot, but I don't want to use it anymore (except for free reviews). If you think about it, you're forcing people to watch vids that may not appeal to them - and you're forced to review things that you may hate (genre-wise) which hurts the other person as well. But if you make a thread warning away certain vids (for certain anime, genre, etc) you can usually have a nice exchange with the ones who apply. Or you can trade with everyone there - that's the quickest way to get opinions.
And I think the ratio is 100 downloads for 1 opinion - but don't worry too much if you go past that. It happens.

im guessing that ..the more awesome or the more shitty your video is, the easier it is to get opinions. but don't get down cause it's around what ...300 hits average that you finally get an OP? it's kinda hard. ppl are lazy.
go to the OP exchange in the other part of the forum. omnistrata also has something started where he'll op 'newbs' ..or something like that. and go announce your videos, if you haven't already in AMV announcements.
