Image stealing is all the rage... And editing images to not have a logo in them is so simple now that there's no point. And if someone really wants the image, they'll take it and just not edit it... =\

So, if you want your work to not be stolen, just don't put it up. Besides, most sites, if you read the TOS, will take it regardless....

Disable right click!!!

But seriously, then if the pic doesn't load right, you can't right-click and select "Show picture" which just.... Sucks.

Besides, on newer systems, when you place the pointer over the image, the option to save pops up automatically.
I like bugging people. Deal with it.

Some paid clip art sites have right click protection. But any idiot knows you could just do a screen capture at your desired resolution and viola.

I've had fanfiction taken, or part of fiction stollen. But if it's fanwork (fanart, fanfiction), and the person tries to pass it off as his own, you can always report it to the PPP (plaigerism police ^"^ ) - they have ways of ruining the lives of people who are proven to have taken fanwork from other artists/writers. And I've never heard of them *not* being able to get the stollen item identified and taken down as soon as they're done investigating it. So don't worry about it.

You can put a logo or your name on it (like you would with fiction), but there's nothing to really stop a thief. Just wait till it happens and then take action - there aren't any fullproof prevention methods for fanworks (including amvs - I've had some of my poor-quality beginner vids ripped for footage...they get desperate, I tell you). If they want it, they'll take it, it's just a matter of whether or not you catch them.

basially wat everybody has been saying is tru~ its impossible to protect ur stuff online,,, putting a logo on ur stuff only means that they'll go thru adobe photoshop and either cut it out or just erase it~

the best way to prevent ppl from stealing ur work and calling it theirs is basically making ur logo semi-transparent and just paste if over the pic *the logo will have to be the size of the painting*

so that it'll be a serious pain in the ass to delete the logo off photoshop...
