Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

The Two Shall Meet now up for DL
As requested by Ashyukun and trythil, TTSM is now up for download. Sorry, it's only in MPEG2 and the filesize is 132MB, which I know is higher than 100MB, but Phade hasn't gotten back to me yet about removing it so I can replace with a smaller file.

I liked this video at ACen and was shocked it didn't get into the final contest...that's why we gave it an honorable mention.
Good job!

I didn't know where to post this, so I'm posting it here because it does involve this video. I downloaded "The Two Shall Meet" today, however, for some reason, my computer is unable to play this video. Since I feel that the problem involves my computer rather than the video itself (I'm sure that the video does work), is there anything that I should install so that I can see the video?

It's MPEG2 encoded, so you'll likely need to have some form of DVD player or at least MPEG2 support installed. I don't know exactly what you need though, since both my computers have worked with MPEG2 files almost from the start...TnAdct1 wrote:I didn't know where to post this, so I'm posting it here because it does involve this video. Neat. The problem with movie-based videos is that we've seen the same limited set of images so often that it gets stale. This frappes the original so that it looks like something completely new, so it escapes that fate.
*thumbs-up* (and I normally go for old-school videos, too, so I'm not easily swayed. 8) )

I suggest opening it in something like WinDVD or PowerDVD. That's what I do.TnAdct1 wrote:I didn't know where to post this, so I'm posting it here because it does involve this video. Sub: You might wanna make an MPEG-1 or XviD version for distro. MPEG-2 isn't a normal distro codec.

I don't know about double versions, but if you put a note in your vid description telling people to go to http://www.doom9.org (url could be off...) and download the BSPlayer, it plays mpg2's. And then they don't have to worry about getting new codecs.
As far as I know you can only have one final version linked to a video on the local setup.
