Wanted: AMVs needed for new show

Post by benuboo22 » Tue Jun 10, 2003 9:49 am

Hi Anime Fans!
I need anime music vids for my new show airing this summer and would LOVE to show off your original compilations for a segment in my show. Videos can be up to 4 mins. long but MUST be compiled by YOU (no perpertrators!). You must sign a waiver and idemnification form when you submit your work. Show us what you're made of! You can contact me at: benu11@yahoo.com

Forgot to let you guys know. Please submit your work in your "artist's" name if ya don't want to go through any "ha..uhm" (cough, cough)...you know. But got you covered, that's the reason for the waiver/release form. Cool? Cool.

Well, since you're probably gonna get this a lot, I might as well say it first.

We're gonna need a bit more information about your show, what it's about, what the waiver/release entails, and (even despite the wavier) how the fact that we're using copyrighted music and such is going to be dealt with. Do you have some agreement going on with the RIAA? Or are you hoping the waiver'll cover everything?

I'm only asking because most creators are simply going to need more information. And you might as well post the information here, rather than having to send out multiple e-mails with the same information.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.
And lighten up.

Sure, you could show any of my vids. I'd recommend either The Fanservice Video: Bouncing Back for More or Doujin Addiction. Those are both quite popular, and dont really have any ties to the RIAA i think...

Info Request

Post by benuboo22 » Tue Jun 10, 2003 1:56 pm

Okay here's the low down. I am NOT that stupid to post the "legality loop" on this post. IF you want your vid on the show contact me and I'll let you know how to go about it. As far as the show is concerned: It's an informative guide to New Yorkers introducing them to the world of anime and giving them the inside scoop about anime, comic books and conventions. Nuf said! When opportunity knocks answer the door. I'm knocking!

Describe The Horror To Me
Human Suffering: Shinji Ikari
Years of Drunk

The only videos of mine that don't include spoilers or aren't anime. If you want to use them, go ahead. Just let me know if you do.

You mean you don't have the legalities sorted out, right?

There is absolutely no harm in telling us exactly how you plan to sort all this out with not only the RIAA, but also with anime distributors and animation studios.

Until you post that, this all just seems like a really sneaky way to get ahold of a few videos.

Thanks so much for all those who did reply and are taking an interest in the show, I really appreciate the support and enthusiasm for this project. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed and I lost everything :( So, here we go again...Anyway, I have waiver/release forms for those who want to submit their vids. I will send it to you as an attachment, just sign and submit it with your vid, if you can put it on videotape or CD/DVD format that'll be GREAT! :D Please send it to the address on the form. Please remember to send it with your "artist's" name (not your real name). The show's due to broadcast next month on Public Television. If you would like a copy of the show I can also send a demo to you. Unfortunately, due to how many vids that get submitted, I can not guarantee all of the vids will be shown. Thanks Again Otakus!

- "What are the details?"

"The details are available for those who sign up."

- "But do you have the rights sorted out?"

"That information is available for those who sign up."

- "I'd like to know now."

"You will know, once you sign up."

- "But I want to know before I sign up."

"Don't worry, just sign up and you'll learn everything."

- "I won't sign up unless I know what it is I'm signing up for."

"Fine, screw you, then."
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."
