System 4 the Hardcore

Post by Vancore » Mon Jul 05, 2021 1:00 am

This is something I made cause the MEP projects I made em for are considered 'Adult Content' and the parts I made for it are more passable. So, I decided to group up what I made and make something small with it and I even added a extra part to celebrate the making of this (Also, I just liked the way it ended). Enjoy!

I like how you kept the width of the video consistent despite the difference in aspect ratio of some of the sources, but I think some thoughtful cropping of Konosuba would have been a better solution to this than just shrinking down the entire video to fit the left and right borders established by all of the sources that preceded it.

Kind of feel like you've got to be into System of a Down to really enjoy this, fortunately this is an AMV message board so that's not going to be a problem for most people.

Blast from the past indeed! Just reusing some old assets to create a video (Outside the last part) but I think it works as a nice trailer to those looking to see a bunch of vids done to SOAD songs as long as their ok with more extreme content then this lol.

Thanks for the input Seasons, I Could have done that last part with the same aspect as the others. Just went back and it works well, nothing too out of frame, kind of a bummed I didn't just do it like that now :P O well lost opportunity, I'll probably export a version like that anyway. I think I originally did it cause of the destruction scenes looked too focused on but it enhances a few of the talking scenes so eh. Choices choices.

It's always a tough decision. Keep in mind that I didn't notice that aspect of it at all until I watched the video a second time and was actively looking for elements of it to comment on. The aspect ratio only changes once, you're not changing it back and forth and back again.

Would I tell Spike Lee that he shouldn't mix aspect ratios like that?
