This is a rather long and depressing Lain AMV I've been working on. If that's your kind of thing, then I hope you enjoy

Amazing stuff, probably my favorite of everything posted here in the last few weeks. I'll get the obvious critique out of the way first - the first four minutes of the song are excellent, but the last 2 minutes mostly are there so people can keep dancing in the club. For active listening, it mostly just repeats stuff we've already heard, which makes latching novel edits pretty challenging. Sure enough, the last part of the AMV seems like mostly random scenes synced to the beat.It's not bad, but I think it's a noticeable drop. I personally would have probably used the radio edit of this track (great track btw, I love Above and Beyond):



With that out of the way, I really loved this. The lyrics sync in the first four minutes is amazing, and the entire aesthetic of Lain fits super well with the song. Great job.

Yeah you got me here. Although in this case it was more of a "there's tons of awesome scenes I want to put somewhere" situation than anything else. You're right though, I did most of the proper syncing nearer the beginning of the video, though there were a couple bits which I'd always planned to have near the end.

Honestly, I really tried to like any other version of this song enough to edit with it, cause I really did not want to use the full 6 minute one if I could avoid it. However no other version had the same kind of vibe, they were all too upbeat and had the wrong kind of pace so it didn't feel right. Even the version you linked, which is essentially the same song just cut down a bit, didn't seem suited. Sometimes my artistic sensibilities get the best of me, I "have" to have something a very specific way.

Contrary to what else has been said in this thread, I really enjoyed the last couple minutes, it was probably my favorite part of the video. Really good stuff all around though!
