Hi guys! This is my entry for Akross Con 2015 and it was my very first time that I edited a fun! Haikyuu is my favorite sports anime and I tried to make something different from my usual (action) works! I hope you like it!

It was cool to see your action hand at a fun sports vid like this. What made you decide to add in those hand drawing symbols?

I liked it, it"s well paced and there is always something so it doesn't get boring. Timing is spot on with the beat of the drum but does switch to other instruments which can be confusing but I prefer it. Some of the transitions like the barn door were unfitting imo! Also the scenes could have fit the lyrics a little more in some places like 0:35, or 1:00 didn't see how holding up the paper and driving car fits with "wasting my time" or "she invites me".
Lip sync was well done, something a lot of people disregard! Nice masking like at 0:28 was so worth it.

thanks for your feedback!! I decided to add those effects mainly because I liked to give a particular animation to scenes too static and also, because with those I wanted to focus on the presence of the manager "who go mad the players"

Thank you for your feedback!! Unfortunately I didn't find scenes that could have fit all the lyrics, so in some points I didn't follow the lyrics!

In the first act of this video you showed interactions with the red head and this chick with glasses which you then later ignored and their story thread did not get a conclusion . I was a little disappointed with that, they didn't even get to kiss

on the editing side of things though I was more than happy since your editing seemed well thought out and well timed

I wish you had done more with that scribbly effect you had going throughout the video. It was a really cool little thing that added to the video when you did it, but it felt like you could have really pushed that and used it more to give the video a more unique edge (although admittedly I have seen it done before). I also wish you had given more screen time to the girl, since the whole song seemed to be centered around that dynamic, but the choruses just ended up being guys playing volleyball and it didn't make a whole lot of sense with your concept...it seemed to me like you fell back on those scenes for the intense parts of the song because they worked visually, although to me conceptually they felt really out of place.

One other thing, the audio quality in this video was horrible. Like, unlistenably bad. Did you rip this song off of YouTube or something and then recompress it? It sounds...just awful.

All that said, the video's pacing was great and the editing was solid, no real complaints on that front.

This reminded me of VolleyBot both in Anime and name. And it's rather short. Actually I kinda expected it to build towards something bigger (a grande finale) which it sort of didn't. However, i understood very well what was going on without knowing the Anime. This AMV was both fun and entertaining to watch and also well crafted. It just feels to me like the final 40-50 seconds are missing. Anyway cool stuff, keep it up!
