Shut up and Dance

Post by ranmaman » Fri Jun 26, 2015 8:54 am

Hello Everyone,

Been a while since i uploaded anything here...let alone edited with anime and fallowed through to finish the video..

since it been a while since i really did anything figured i'd go back to where i tend to have the most fun - with a dance video

There really isn't anything special about this video used a wide variety or clips while attempted to stay away with the overly-used-to-death-dances..... while still sneaking them in for a cameo..

there are a few quality issues at spots.. mostly cause there wasn't a HD or HQ version available ( that i could find anyway) while a couple other scenes suffered from cropping out subs or watermarks..

anyways, i hope you Guys/Girls Enjoy!

So I like the fact the video is very upbeat, you used colorful and bright scenes to capture the music.

However the quality is one of the major issues, while you cropped out some watermarks you didn't get all of them, and on top of that the aspect ratios were mixed. This is something I'm learning and correcting in my newer amv's with the help of l33tmeatwad's guides.

Secondly it was nothing but dancing, there was no connections with the characters or development. So in the end to me it felt like a random dance video.

Don't get me wrong it was fun to watch, maybe I just missed it because some of those animes I haven't seen or seen in a while.

Thanks for the feedback!

and yeah, with this video i was really only going for a full on dance video so nothing really special about it... and after re-watching it after your comment - i did notice the water mark in idolm@aster clips.... not sure how i missed it with re-watching the video like a million times while editing it XD

as for the aspect ratio.. i did change a few of them which ended up stretching the crap out of the clip and just making them look ugly and the few that weren't switched weren't on screen for very long so just left them as is.

Thanks for watching/stopping by and commenting

hope you enjoyed at least a bit, even if just being nothing but dancing!

I think that you needed to greatly reduce the number of anime that you used and try to just focus on a few that really fit the theme of the song. Although the song is about dancing, its also about the relationship of a couple developing through that dance. A lot of the dance scenes that you used aren't actually related to a couple, and so it just comes across as being random. Also, by having dance scenes through the entire video, they greatly loose their impact. If you have saved your really good dance moments for important parts of the song/ vid, then they would have had a much greater impact.
