I hope people watch this and don't mistake the slow pacing for "bad" editing, this is really funny and more true to the spirit of the series than I thought could ever be possible.

I agree. Editing does go well with the series mood and Tomoko. It's good to see fresh meat in AT keeping the quality up par and beyond.seasons wrote:I hope people watch this and don't mistake the slow pacing for "bad" editing, this is really funny and more true to the spirit of the series than I thought could ever be possible.

This was interesting. I have never seen Watamote but I'm familiar with the idea behind the anime, and this was just a really weird, fun video. I'll take seasons' word for it that it's an accurate representation of the series. I'd probably enjoy it more and would be more prone to re-watching it if I enjoyed the song or was more familiar with the series. I'll come back to it after I get around to watching Watamote.Os2 wrote:
This one I liked a bit more, though I doubt many people these days would really enjoy it. It's just a cute, sentimental romance video, and I love the editing -- though again, that's the thing that will probably put a lot of people off. I wish I had the mindset to edit like this -- slow, and entirely mood-based rather than song-based. It doesn't always work, because a lot of the time the lack of cuts and effects can give the illusion that the editor is ignoring the song completely, and the video ends up looking sloppy, but in this case I think you pulled it off and just nailed the atmosphere. Beautiful work.Os2 wrote:
