Girl Next Door {Kireblue}

Post by Kireblue » Wed Jan 28, 2015 12:31 pm

2 years ago, me and a friend of mine (Camichan19) were talking about Arrietty, and she suggested that I make a vid with it using "You will be mine" by Lenka. The song fits the anime absolutely perfectly, so I immediately added it to my list of vids to make. And then when the quickening tournament started that year, I decided to add this song to the song pool since I would already have a idea for it if it was selected. But luck would have it that the song wouldn't get selected till round 3, and I would get eliminated in round 2. Oh well :roll: Even though I got eliminated, I decided to start working on this vid anyway.

This was a very simple AMV to make, but the lack of footage made the process a little daunting, and I kept loosing motivation to continue editing it. It wasn't until another friend of mine (BecauseImBored1) told me that she really liked my beta that I finally decided to stop delaying things and finally finish it. And so after an entire year and a half of off and on editing, I finally finished this AMV for AkrossCon 2014. Although the editing is very simple, I really like the story progression in this vid, and I'm glad that I took my time editing it to be as good as I could make it.

I really liked this one. It was beautiful in its simplicity and worked well with the music. While the speed of the scenes between the chorus and the verses was a little too similar, (especially around 2/3 of the way through, making the video kind of drag), I was still entertained until the very end. Good luck in Akross! |:>

I liked it. It represented the movie pretty well, didn't do anything more or less. I find myself with little to say in terms of particular praise or criticism, but it was pretty much exactly what I was expecting reading the description. I certainly wasn't disappointed.
