Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.
The last time I was on this site was three years ago...so I might have forgotten etiquette rules that weren't listed under "AMV etiquette" (which I did read >.>), so forgive me if I do something wrong out of ignorance. Any constructive criticism is welcomed and taken into account...I really want to continue to improve. That's my only goal. Thank you!
I liked how you experimented with some interesting effects. I wasn't fond of the "reboot/error" screens at the start, or the "scanning" screens towards the end, because they took up a LOT of the screen and hit the footage. Also, some of the text was gramatically incorrect [it's "your" last words, not "you're"].
You did some nice fontwork though. Good font choice, good movement and really nice overlays.
Editing wise, you did ok portraying the story of Bleach. I liked the addition of the manga, because it gives the impression of time passing without having to use a lot of scenery. I think a little more scene selection might have helped your cause [because you skip really far ahead timeline wise at times], because it seems a little crazy at the end.
I did love the ending manga bit though. That was classy. :3
But overall, you did a pretty nice job. Some of the effects just didn't do it for me, and a little confusing plot works here and there, but you've got a solid grasp on some nice techniques. Look forward to seeing more.

Firstly, thanks for telling me that little html trick. XD It was tedious to manually type it out.
And about the grammatical error, I'm totally ashamed. >.>; I didn't catch it at all even after multiple viewings, and English is my first language.
I see what you mean about the effects, I shall try to improve on my choice next time. I really was just experimenting around in After Effects...the program's so confusing to use >.<. Also, I see what you mean about the story line (I really did skip pretty far XD...from the middle of the Soul Society Arc to the first Grimmjow encounter), so I'll be working on that as well. Thanks for the awesome advice!
[I'm glad you liked the ending , I wasn't sure about that bit when I included it]
I really appreciate you taking the time out to give me some suggestions. :] Thanks again!
ehh...it almost felt like a mep from how different almost all the effects were and for the most part it was all sectioned out, until towards the end when you started mixing the lineart and the scanner effects, but they didn't go together very well so even that was weird. Some of the effects were pretty cool, but some of em were completely unnecessary, like the typography bit. That didn't seem to have anything at all to do with bleach and just felt like a normal typography thing you see on youtube. and the text on the ground stuff right before the typography bit was unnecessary too. aside from all that, the scanner stuff has been sooooo overdone with bleach that it's not even impressive anymore. Kudos on trying to make it new with the lineart stuff but that ended up making it a little weird looking. you had some pretty nice buildup and scene selection though, and the effects you did (apart from the yellow scanner part) were pretty well composed in and of themselves but the juxtaposition of those different effects and then the mixing of those effects really threw it off. It still managed to be pretty enjoyable, the hard work did shine through. If you toned down the scanner stuff and somehow made the lineart effect and the scanner effect more similar somehow i think this could've been pretty great as far as scanner technoy bleach vids go. 3/5

First of all, thank you so much for watching and offering advice!
Fitting stuff into a bigger picture has always been a weak point of mine, but now I have a better idea of how and what I should do to work on it. I'll also figure out a way to make the effects fit better together so that I can have the option of using something similar in the future and have it fit together better. Thanks again for the advice, it really helps. :]
