My company's new health insurance plan "requires" us to talk to a health coach (i.e. do it or your coverage effectively drops and you have to pay more money out of your own pocket for the same services). I've now set up my 3rd coaching call (for next week) without having completed a single call. My coach keeps having things come up and canceling the appointment and rescheduling. SO glad my benefits have to revolve around their mismanaged employees' schedules.

See Yue, this is why you're so freakin GAR. I'd take one look outside and be like "oh feck no" and go back to sleep.

I almost hate to mention this as a vent, since it's really "happy" news. >-<

Got the rejection notice from the "dream" company I wanted to really work for first thing at 8 AM. [Best pay in state, best vacation plans, medical insurance, almost completely out of state, ect] :(

But I'm not too sad. It means that now I can fully accept the offer that my current boss has made and stay with the company/coworkers that I love. Especially now that we're ridiculously downsized due to the massive firing that happened a few weeks back. My pay won't be near as grand, but the cost of living here is small, so I'll be fine. :)

But now I need to find cheap medical insurance with an expensive pre-existing condition. >_< (Ok, so that part at least belongs in the vent!)

I was nasty sick on Monday and Tuesday, which wouldn't be too bad, except that it has now carried over to mess up my sleep schedule. I'm up until 5:30 each morning because of this and when I finally fall asleep I miss my alarm and am very late for class, as much as 45 minutes yesterday. I'm going to make myself go to bed early tonight since I'm home in Kingston, I hope that solves it for good.

I feel really bad because I missed a presentation that I was supposed to give with a partner on Thursday partially because of miscommunication, but also because I ended up sleeping through the class. Had I been there I would have been able to give the presentation without preparation. He took the fall, though, when he could have and should have presented alone and left me with a 0. I can deal with a fucked up sleep schedule, but not when it cuts into everything else. I essentially missed a week of class because of it. I hope I didn't miss anything super important. I'm lucky I have some of the highest marks in all my classes, so I can suffer a little bit of a hit, or else I'd probably be boned. >.>

Playing through Dead Space 2 for the first time (had it for a while, just now got around to it). Enjoying it thoroughly. Then I get to Chapter 6. I'm supposed to remove 3 grates and pull the power cells from the oxygen generators to put out the fire. Except due to a MAJOR GAME-BREAKING GLITCH, the power cells are NOT THERE. With no cells to remove, there's no shutting down the oxygen generators, which means no putting out the fire, and thus NO CONTINUING WITH THE GAME. And since I decided to only use a single save file (makes me have to live with my decisions regarding upgrades and whatnot), the only solution is to START OVER, and that's not even guaranteed to work!

This has been on the EA forums since fscking FEBRUARY, and they have yet to even ACKNOWLEDGE the problem, let alone get off their asses and release a patch to fix the issue! Hey assclowns, howabout you give my money back that I spent on your fscking BROKEN GAME

Good God, my feet.

So, I have a job, which is such good fortune and I'm totally not complaining about it, but it's my first one, and I have never had to stand up for so many hours on end. Needless to say, my feet and legs are feeling like jell-o. I'm doing my best with massages at the end of the day, but man oh man, I can't wait until my body starts to get used to this and I get cast iron feet.

Pick a day you have 2 days to rest afterwards and walk about 10 miles. It'll be hard for the first week or two, but afterwards you'll feel lighter. It might be tempting to take pain pills, but you'll get more out of it if you feel the pain and know your limits. And then you'll notice it getting easier.
WE DRAMATIZE IT COMPLETELY!
