Had a midterm in one of my classes on Thursday (Computer System Performance Evaluation).
The course content so far is very close to another that I had taken a few years back (Random Systems & Signals). It's pretty much applied statistics, and the midterm was largely about random variables (which oddly enough aren't really random, and definitely aren't variables.)
In the last course (RS&S), I felt pretty uncomfortable with random variables...so I was a bit worried about the midterm. Turns out I aced it
To make things better, most everyone else did...not so great. There's a make-up exam being offered to everyone, and if I ace that one too (which I should, because it's essentially the same exam) I won't have to take the final and will pretty much be guaranteed an 'A' in the course. (exams count for 70% of my grade, with homework taking the remaining 30%...and I've gotten 100% on all homeworks thus far).
Now if I could just find a damn job...
