My neighbor is a noisy fucker. He has a house that can't be much bigger than my garage (barely fits one car), and yet he has two trucks, a semi, a boat, and a motorcycle, at least one of which is running or being tinkered with at all hours of the day. ALL hours. WTF.

Also, I still don't have a job. Fuck my life.

We had a staff meeting yesterday (first one in a long time) and my boss had to point out stuff we already knew. He directed one comment at me regarding priorities. I work on a helpdesk but I've been given other projects and responsibility that need to be taken care of as well. Every time I'm working on one of these other things, not directly related to normal tickets that come in, he always has to chime in and "remind" me that the help desk is the top priority and not to spend too much time on the other stuff....

This is a catch 22 because If i'm spending all my time working on tickets, the other projects never get done and then he wonders what's taking so long and then either bugs me about it or cancels them because it was taking so long. Then also the user's whom these projects involve wonder what's going on and they start contacting him. And then yesterday, one of the interns had gone out to deploy a computer but had to stop because of the meeting... Said intern had to leave right after the meeting so the boss told me to take over and make it high priority... well, the day before had me working on another task that was high priority but I could do it that day because the user wasn't in the office. So the rest of the day yesterday was spent working on one thing because he told me to do it instead of doing another thing he told me to do. So now I have an e-mail from one of the managers in another division wondering if I ever got around to completing the one task I didn't get a chance to do >.< It's also my day off so i can't work on it and it needs to be done today apparently.

Basically, I wish my boss would just let me do my job and stop trying to micro manage everything. If he wants me to do something he should talk to my supervisor and he should decide what's more important. Or simply just let me know and ask if I can fit it in. I've been doing this kind of work for 6 years, I know how to prioritize my work load. When he comes in and starts directing me to do things that aren't necessarily that big of a deal, my priorities get fucked up and people get pissed off.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good boss but his micro managing is a real pain in the ass.

In the past 36 hours, I have spent 28 hours working in InDesign between two jobs. My brain feels like jelly.

On the plus side, really happy with the freelance job that's nearing completion. I had to do a similar thing for the client last year, but it was super rushed because they brought me in after realizing they couldn't do it in house ... with only a week to have it crawl through every level of management for changes. (haha, HA.) So it wasn't as polished as I would have liked. This version however, is pretty clean looking and will be definitely portfolio fodder. :3

I don't want to think about the things that are going to happen, cause I'm mostly getting terrified, but I have to find a place to stay for a week and none of my friends seem to be offering. I also have to book my train tickets, yet I still haven't got paidddddd. AND on top of that, my suitcase is broken! I gotta buy a new one or pay to have this one fixed.

We normally never hear from our neighbors upstairs or on the sides. I mean, a little thump on the roof every once in a while when someone is walking around with heavy feet, but that's about it.

Then last night...I was already having a hard time falling asleep when the ones upstaris decided to have the LOUDEST, raunchiest sex I've ever heard. I mean, I've got nothing against having a good time but this was like, cheesey porno loud D: And they went from 1am to 5am >__O

I assume he got worried when the 4 hour mark hit and felt the need to consult a doctor :|

This reminds me of the time when the AMV contest at AX2002 was delayed until the morning, so I had to get a hotel with friends.

I couldn't get any sleep not only because I was worried/excited about the contest, but the couple in the room next to us were really going at it and I was the only one awake to hear it. :uhoh: :ying:
