Yup, the media sure loves a good story. When they don't get it but still want it, stupidity ensues.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Obviously you don't remember when I was active on the forums and adhered to the puppy-training method of dealing with newbs and retards: sharp whacks to the back of the head with a rolled-up newspaper until they learn.

See, I know you're an asshole, and everyone here knows I'm an asshole. The difference is that I don't care what everyone thinks, and it's irrelevant because on this issue I'm still right and you're assaulting my character instead of debating the point. Jwalk's post was 10% genuine prayer (if that) and 90% unnecessary panic, which has joined the rest of the internet's unnecessary panic to cause the equivalent of shouting "FIRE" in the cramped movie theater that is Japan. And that shit has no place, anywhere.

p.s. your mother was a hamster and your father smells of elderberries.
Yes, because you seem to be a fantastic judge of character and just the person to decide whether jwalk was being genuine or not. You seem to think a little too highly of yourself. Get fagged, dude. You suck as a person.

Your reaction was greatly unnecessary too, just saying..
p.s. grow up

Its funny how most of those facebook people actually have obviously no idea what they are talking about when they say japan never helped us. The rest of em talk of things like karma and god then have the nerve to wish harm and desctruction in the process, way to build up your own karma.

Here's proof: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internatio ... ne_Katrina
Many countries actually offer manpower and other kind of aid as well during times of crisis, but in most cases USofA rarely accepts it for whatever the reason. People just read/hear/listen to the media and never actually seek out sideline information then later assume that no one cared.

Half of them just probably did that to look cool. I actually feel ashamed to be in the same country as them but people like that will be everywhere anyway, what can you do.

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

It disturbs me that I had to revert vandalism on that page...

I actually noticed japan was missing from it along with the sources after having looked at it a few days ago, it was definitely there the first time I saw it but i didn't think much on it. Did you add it back in or something?

That is pretty disturbing if you did... Some people man, I just don't know what to say :|

Yeah, someone with an IP based in California had deleted it... Looking at the history the page has received a lot of edits since the earthquake.

You know, this reminds me of something that happened back in high school. It was probably at the end of my school year after 9/11, close to Memorial Day. We all gathered in the gym for an assembly and had to sit and listen to a teacher read this article that some guy had written which basically said that America always comes to the aid of other countries while other countries never seem to want to help us. (This was in reference to the fact that we seemingly had to take care of ourselves after 9/11.)

After seeing that Wiki link on Katrina, I think I need to facepalm like none other. I would just like to apologize on behalf of my country. Rest of the World, you folks are awesome. I am sorry that we are too bullheaded to accept your help when you so graciously offer it, and I am sorry that we squander what assistance we do allow.

At the very least, if we weren't going to take the money or other material resources, we should have at least capitalized on the expertise of the island/coastal nations who clearly deal with water-related disasters all the time. God forbid America make new friends or strengthen the existing friendships, though. I'm pretty content with having been born an American for the most part, but after moments like these... just... facepalm. Fucking facepalm.

The website Tsunami is a french inititive of Jean-David Morvan (comic writer who is living in Tokyo) and the artist's forum cafésalé.

The objective of this website is the following: everyone can send some illustrations about the japanese events and then :
- an auction of original drawings made for the occasion and whose profits will be donated to Give2Asia.
- The achievement of a collective book whose profits will be donated to Give2Asia.

There are already awesome drawings !
