Hello guys. I'm new to the site, although I've been a fan of AMV's for a long time.
About a couple of days ago I remembered an AMV I watched 3 - 4 years ago on Youtube and that for the life of me cannot find, but basically I'm looking it for the beginning/ending it had: the opening consisted of some type of mosaic that zoomed in and out if I remember correctly and the ending used the song Memories from Within Temptation (the melancholic beginning of the song) while the credits were passing or something; I remember some kind of "white light" was used to write the name of the author if I'm not mistaken. The thing is I don't remember exactly what anime it was about... I think it was about Neon Genesis Evangelion but I've searched and searched and have found nothing... I also remember that in the description it said something about the video being a winner or top contestant in a competition at some point. Anyway I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you remember any of the lyrics of the song (any at all, even just one line) - if it had any, of course? If so, you can punch those into Google and it'll come up with the song used in the video. That will help narrow your search.

The mosaic and white light things made me think of this one, and it did win at youma 2k7. Also fits with 3 years old timeframe. Rest doesn't match up (especially since it doesn't use eva), but I guess a try is better than nothing...

Unfortunately I don't remember if the video had any lyrics, but most likely it didn't. Thanks for the suggestion dj_ultima_the_great
Regarding the video that mirkosp linked, I downloaded it and it isn't the video that I'm looking for. I remembered something else though when watching the mosaic effect: I remember that the effect was indeed some kind of mosaic but it zoomed out and all the pictures were a part of another picture, zooming in again into some other picture and out again to show the "bigger" picture once again or something like that. And that effect was used only for the beginning.
The ending just had the credits and the song Memories as I said.
