I liked the color work and masks also. Honestly, 90% of the video is not Riot Gear and stock arrows. There's obviously a lot more to the video than just that.Radical_Yue wrote:Oh hey! Fine. If it HAS become a standard then let's just say that color cycling is just as amazing :/
And I care. Or does my opinion not matter?
Overall, the roto work involving K-on wasn't too shabby. It was nice to look at and a pleasant effect.
The only reason I said anything about the arrows and ink splots is because those effects were totally pointless. It's getting a tad bit annoying seeing those effects (and others such as flourish) added just because you can. They added nothing to the video and if anything, took away from it (at least from my perspective.) But that's all I say about that :/
The video as a whole was incredibly unbalanced. It was kinda like "Yeeeah, K-on, lez dew this...Oh yeah, I have Kaleido Star too...OH SHIT! I totally forgot about the 30 other sources I had ripped...well, can't let that work go to waste...throw EVERYTHING in!"
It's understandable to want a big finish with lots of sources for a multi-anime video but the way that it was done here just felt very awkward.
The text should have been removed, it was cheesey and unneeded. The video would have been fine without it.
By the end of the video it had become a little less about dancing and more about pretty girls and scenes. Did the scenes look shiny? Yes. Did they really work with the overall video? Not so much...
It wasn't a bad video on a whole but it could've been much better.
Overall 3/5 - Would've been a 2.5/5 but you did a nice amount of work with the rotos
