I Can See You - AWA Pro 2010 Video #18
So, final voting as begun. My video didn't make the cut so I'm releasing it now (although modified) so i don't have to deal with it anymore. I decided to cut out the entire middle section as it was pointless and incredibly boring and... pointless. As mentioned in the video info, the video is incomplete and probably never will be any time soon. I'm not entirely thrilled with the way it is now but after losing all the sources via hard drive failure, I don't feel like re-ripping and converting everything again. I think the video served it's purpose and will just be what it is. I hope the cut makes it better at least.
Unfortunately this might be the last video I enter Pro with. Few reasons, forgive me for making a big deal about this:
1) Although the coordinator doesn't have an issue with it, it seems a good number of participants over the years (and some who've never participated) have a very specific idea as to how AWA Pro is operated (aka "The Spirit of Pro"). While I'm perfectly in my right to participate the way I've wanted and have been, if the majority wants it one way, they can have it their way, I just can't participate. I'd rather not tarnish "The Spirit of Pro" by not participating fully. AWA's contents have always been at the top IMO and I don't want to contribute to it's downfall. All I wanted was to have fun.
2) That said, while there are those who seem to take the contest more seriously then others, there are those who don't take it seriously at all. I've heard people call foul at those who didn't watch all the videos but didn't say anything about the 5 or 6 videos only showing a chick sleeping and also video #60. While I believe people can have their fun, the videos in question to me were only in there to troll for awards or just be there for shits and giggles. For the same reasons as #1, I can't participate in a contest that isn't taken seriously, wither its myself or the other participants.
If you would like to make a comment about what I said, send a PM, don't reply here.
/end rant

That was kinda unexpected. A bit scary too.
For some reason, this video kinda fits with your feelings on the pro contest.

Very nice. Sudden end is sudden but eh, it fits the video to be honest.

I kinda see now what this is about and it is ok. It's not as bad as i told everyone in my original comment in the pro thread but it's still kinda pointless. You capture the mood quiet well but there is no reason to watch this twice .. it's just another fmp. BTW there already is a very good fmp amv with that mood using evans blue ... indeed my favorit fmp amv of them all and you should know it the best since you did it. So my guess is you A really like the anime and while waiting for the next season you toy around with the old stuff until you can work with the new or B you just got bored and did a very good amv again but worse just to have sth for awa pro. I'm kind of curious about it since my guess is A but whatever.

Little bit of A and B actually. The source was already ripped for another video I tried starting (but ultimately dropped). FMP is my favorite series (Major is coming a very close second) but the video was pretty much made out of boredom and wanting to send something AWA Pro. If anything the video is more of an experiment of "what if" then anything serious so it's a little bit of toying around and a little bit of wanting to send something to AWA Pro.Cenit wrote:I kinda see now what this is about and it is ok. Same here ;_;Pwolf wrote:God I hope there's more FMP coming out soon ;_;
Since the Novels are finished now, it should only be a matter of time until more animation is coming but nothing has been confirmed by now and there are no more rumors than the usual ones :/
Here is an actual pic from the final novel released 1 week ago - not a fanfic ... hope it makes up for the time waiting ^^

Haha Scott, oh wow. My thoughts as I was watching this for the contest:
"Wow, did someone just basically do a complete ripoff of This Time?"
"Oh, I guess it's not exactly like This Time...maybe this is Scott's?"
"No, he wouldn't have used the same band and the same anime to make such a similar video..."
"This second half is pretty cool. And that's a neato film effect."
I totally had video #33 pegged as yours. I would have been willing to bet money on it, but at least my very first thoughts were correct
