Do you only make AMVs for contests? Don't get me wrong. I like AMV contests. I've even made the cut a few times and even been lucky enough to win a couple times. But that's not why I make AMVs.

Would you make AMVs and share them here and on youtube even if there were no AMV contests?

(Can you tell me what anime the title of this thread if from?)

I make AMV's for myself, Sharing the community is par of that.Never really edited a video for a contest

For cons, not necessarily for contests, but for the con screenings. Without other people around, you can't really tell how you were received.

Never submitted an AMV to a con. I only make them to upload to this site and the tube.

I do a little dabbling in both.

I definitely make certain AMV's for me and for my friends. I also love my Youtube account, it's nice to see your work appreciated. Same goes for the org, and it's very nice to get your work critiqued. But then I've also made several videos just for con audiences and the hopes of winning, mostly because of my competitive nature I have, and the desire to evolve with the times.

I made videos before I was aware there were contests for such things, so I don't see why I wouldn't continue.

I do what I want (AMVs) for what I want (myself, mainly).

Contests are just cherry on top.
