  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

i spent a lot of time on sync and effects, and i think you may have missed the lyrical sync and the happiness and adrenaline the amv was supposed to invoke. To me its not a clone, because i made it. I love the song and i love the message it has. For me, editing seemed like it was a dream that would never come true. Making this, for me, is telling everyone that they can do anything to forget limitations and find ways around them. That's what i hoped everyone would see. ^_^;; althought most ppl haven't.
I don't see how you could take what Crack said so out of context and construe it to be flaming. What he said was in no way a flame or an attack on you, he simply stated what he thought of the video. You making it doesn't mean that the hundreds of other videos with the same theme and energy aren't still there, though nobody said you purposely made it a "clone" of those videos. You need to accept the fact that not everybody is going to enjoy your video, and some people will flat out hate your videos sometimes as well. And not to sound mean or attack you personally kenz, but you seem to say something similar about every amv you make when it comes to "i could never edit cause im blind" etc. You can't keep bringing that up as a krutch or expecting people to judge your videos differently because of that.

I think he means more that you seem to bring it up whenever someone doesn't like your video. Sometimes they just won't like the type of video. This video is pretty generic and there have been many like it, your eyesight can't really affect that. And though you might have a tough time editing them, ultimately you want people to judge your videos at face value, right?

i guess when ppl judge my video i hope that they remember that someone who is legally supposed to carry a white cane with them edited it. some things others see wrong with it, i don't see at all. like interlacing i don't even know what that looks like, but i deinterlace anyway even though if i compare the videos i don't see it. Frame blending? i don't even know what that looks like. Technical stuff is not my strong suit. but i do everything i can to make sure it's perfect. Editing wise: i can't see the peaks of a song so i have to judge by hearing it and seeing it. so yeah my videos aren't perfect. and yeah i bring it up because i feel like it's a last resort kind of thing. When i do something wrong i blame it on my vision. Because when ppl point out what they don't like, I never see it , and never will. The only reason i can think of is "well it must be my vision". that's why i bring it up when i have have no barriers left. Because it must be something i'm missing because of my vision.

No, you bring it up quite often, not as a last resort. It's even in your status. Either way, none of the things you mentioned are what Crackthesky took issue with, so again, your eyesight is not relevant.

you're right, maybe i bring it up because i'm ashamed of it and i'm trying to be proud of my handicap. idk really...it makes me who i am. how i act, how i carry myself, and i treat myself is all directly affected by my vision.I guess i'm glad i am legally blind because it's something interesting about me. it's something that makes ppl wanna know me. only in real life of course. On the internet, it's my shield.

Just to be perfectly clear, I have not seen any of your other videos Kenzichu (to the best of my knowledge anyway) and was not aware of your eyesight impairment until after I posted my comment. Don't know that that really matters, but I just thought I should bring it up.

Also, if you like the video, then good. If this is the kind of video you want to make, make it by all means. I never assumed you meant it to be a clone of other similar videos, but you should be aware that they exist. In vast numbers. I could probably list at least ten off the top of my head, and after that it would take next to no effort to find a ton of other dance/multi-anime videos with the same kind of vibe as yours. I've been around for a while, and I've watched enough videos like this to satisfy me for probably the rest of my AMV-viewing life. So I apologize if I came off as a little harsh; it's nothing personal, it's just that this has been an AMV trend that I have absolutely not been a fan of, and I just get kind of irritated to see the same rehashed scenes set to the same style of music at the same kinds of breaks in the song.

i have been dling amvs from here since 2005, never making them 'cause i thought i couldn't. Yes i know there are a lot of amvs like this one, but it's special to me because it's my own. I thought you didn't like it because you had seen dance amvs before and was therefore not judging mine based on how it was made and instead not liking it because there are similar amvs to it.

I liked it, Fades anoyed the hell out of me and got alittle boring just watching anime openings/endings with some happy gogo techno song, But editing itself was pretty good i suppose, Good job Kenzi :)
