Re: Code of Honor for AMV maker
In fact more than a code of honor for AMV maker it looks most of the points make it look more like a code of honor for AMV user or forum user; while it could work anyway, I agree on Vivaldi on the fact that you could count them with less than a hand (if any)

Re: Code of Honor for AMV maker
Do AMVers have a 'code of honor'? I guess it'd start with 'always use footage taken off of purchased media'... ... ... and pretty much end there >.< and some of us don't use legal material cuz it's legal, but just because it's the easiest way to get high quality stuff.
If you do not think so... you will DIE

I don't have a code of honor for commenting on the org, but in terms of making AMVs, my rules and guidelines are:AikiNick102 wrote: Always make AMVs for art or enjoyment;
Never steal another's AMVs or ideas;
Be thankful;
Never be aggressive/hostile;
Always be objective;
Always be polite;
Answer every single question you are given;
Be opened for criticism and advices;
Never be conceited, selfish and megalomaniac;
Help everyone with anything you can, never refuse anyone to help;
Never envy another's skills and creativity(I mean bad kind of envy);
Never get angry for unfair criticism;
Rely on your skills, not on your software;
And most important - enjoy making AMVs.
1) If I get an idea for an AMV, I will only go ahead and make it if it hasn't already been done. For this reason and many more, I may never make another Naruto or Linkin Park AMV.
2) I try to make AMVs that don't use anime and songs that have been overused. For this reason and many more, I may never make another Naruto or Linkin Park AMV.
3) I will never use the same song for more than one of my AMVs, and I try not to use the same anime or music group more than twice. For this reason and many more, I may never make another Naruto or Linkin Park AMV.

Aye, I also spell honor with a u as well as flavor as flavour and color as colour.Cap'n Toddenfreude wrote:My code of honour is that I spell honour with a 'u'.
Besides that, I really can't follow a code of honour or any sought of cemented guideline or list of rules. I'd probably go against them depending on the situation presented to me.

Nobody on this site has any sense of honor. Just read through the announcements, donators and mep forums.
