Lupin the 3rd AMVs
Hello, I'm brand-new to this site, so I'm trying to get the hang of all of this protocol, so tell me if I screw up. ^^ These videos have already been seen, but I released them on the site four days ago, so I'm not sure if they're new enough to be announced. Anyway, if they're ineligible for announcing because they've gotten some views already, please tell me. ^^
In order from oldest to newest. Explanation 1 for bad quality: region 1 DVDs don't work on region 2 computer, so to get the scenes I need I used the built-in camera and filmed them from the TV screen. But yes, I do own the DVDs legally. Explanation 2 for bad quality: I'm a beginner editor. However, I like them just fine and have no intention of getting better: it's something I do for sheer enjoyment and for spreading the word about Lupin the 3rd. For those with far greater experience in video editing, I apologize in advance if I offend your eyes and ears, but I love Lupin the 3rd and want to share my 48 Lupin AMVs with the AMV community.

Title: It's Time to Play the Game

A fast AMV set to the Lupin the 3rd series 3 opening theme song. I made sure that this one had Lupin and his five-man crew running around all the time, so hopefully there are no dull moments. -_^ Taking advantage of the updated effects like Cross Zoom available in IMovie '09. And yes, the footage used is from 1978.
Title: Staring Down the Barrel of Jigen's Magnum
Song: 45
Artist: Shinedown
Anime: Lupin the 3rd
Video: Alcatraz Connection
Pursuit of Harimao's Treasure
Farewell to Nostradamus
First Contact
Voyage to Danger

A fanfiction about Daisuke Jigen. This was meant to be a somewhat of a homage to the first Jigen AMV set to the same song, which used First Contact and Return of Pycal. That one was a narrative. I tried to mix narrative with timing in this AMV, and I spliced several unrelated scenes from the above five Lupin TV specials together to attempt to convey Jigen betraying Lupin, and also Goemon Ishikawa, and becoming cold-hearted by becoming a gangster, though he once loved.
Title: Reach for the Sky, Lupin!
Song: Reach for the Sky
Artist: Social Distortion
Anime: Lupin the 3rd
Video: Alcatraz Connection
First Contact
Voyage to Danger
Program: IMovie '09

This AMV is meant to tell the opposite story of the Jigen AMV. In this video, Lupin is giving advice to Jigen and Inspector Zenigata, to reach for the sky--by staying in league with him. Lupin the 3rd has some hang-ups, but he doesn't tend to show them and just careens through life with no regrets. This is the fanfiction that I tried to write with this video.

Re: Lupin the 3rd AMVs
I know I entered the AMVs in the catalog--unless there's a separate step aside from "Enter New Video" on the site..
I see, I have to link directly to the preview. Thanks, I'll change the links. ^^

No...I believe everything is set as it should be...you have done everything correctly concerning uploading and announcing etiquette, that's why it was incorrect of him to tell you to read the Announcing Etiquette Rules whilst you have actually done nothing wrong. I already linked to your vids using the vidid code. For future reference the code would go something like this:
Code: Select all
[vidid]168786[/vidid]

My latest general Lupin AMV. Lupin and co. are superheroes. ^^ In this video, I wanted to show that they can hold their own against the sheer awesome-ness of any of the characters of other, shinier new anime series.
