Re: For A Friend
Hey
Even though it started with a slow pace, as time was passing, it was getting more interesting. When I thought that the beats syncing at the start was getting a little repetitive, it stopped; I think it was the right amount. I believe that, near the end of the video, some of the scenes that you tried to synch up with the drums could have used a little more of an explosion, even if it might seem a little unappropiate for the type of AMV, it could have been a bit better (I think one of those would be the part at 4:19).
.
These kind of AMV's getting my attention when I even didn't see any of the animes listed, really means something
. I haven't got much to say since there is practically nothing to better in this video.
PD: I liked the part from 3:22 - 3:30. I had to show the parts that are great too
See ya

Overall I ended up liking this, I really did like the way you synced the beats in the beginning with the slight glow... thing... And also how around 1:37 you led up to what I thought was going to be most typical climax amv shot ever, but went another rout with it. However at around 2:27 I think you were just going to fast, and then you undid the awesomeness of 1:37 by putting in chiche scene.... another two times... Story line is meh, but then again the movies story line is meh itself. You're video does a good job of summing it up though

Re: For A Friend
Wow I loved it! ^^ I really liked the glow effect you used near the beginning.Only parts that were a bit..iffy was the bit around 3:22 to 3:29,it was too fast and didn't fit with the overall feel of the video. From 3:30 onwards it was really good though although I was expecting some dramatic swoop or something for the end but meh,it was okay
Anyway 5/5
Good job!

Anyway 5/5

Re: For A Friend
Make your video description longer. I really thought the video was way cooler AFTER you explained what it was you were doing with it.
P.S.
Way to put me on the edge of my seat waiting for the sunburst.

I agree the scene is pretty cliche, but I don't regret using it at all. Thanks for watching it, and I'm glad you enjoyed it even with it's cliche climaxBurningLeaves wrote:Overall I ended up liking this, I really did like the way you synced the beats in the beginning with the slight glow... thing... Oh I most certainly did, and I took full advantage of that! Glad you liked it.Knowname wrote:you must have noticed that the guy and the girl do the EXACT same thing when peering into the empty classroom lol. I just love that xD. Anyway good vid!
Hmm... I could see how that section could be seen as too fast, but with the big beats coming right after it, I didn't like the look of doing every 2nd or 4th beat. So I didn't every beat,AimoAio wrote:Wow I loved it! ^^ I really liked the glow effect you used near the beginning.Only parts that were a bit..iffy was the bit around 3:22 to 3:29,it was too fast and didn't fit with the overall feel of the video. From 3:30 onwards it was really good though although I was expecting some dramatic swoop or something for the end but meh,it was okay

done annnnd..... done. I'm definitely glad you acted out your anticipation for me, now I can't watch those sections anymore without being reminded of you being let down until 2/3's of the way through the video.Fall_Child42 wrote:Make your video description longer. The syncing to the piano near the beginning of the video was a little repetitive, but other than that, I thought this was a really well done AMV. I particularly liked the section between 3:22 – 3:30. I don’t usually watch these kinds of videos, but this is one of the best serious AMVs I’ve seen! Nice work!

ahhhh new Jethro video. Do want.

Fiiiinally. A shinkai video that doesn't suck dick. Shit was nice dude. I really enjoyed it. Very good atmosphere, it flowed well, the cuts and crossfades were well placed and smooth. I especially loved the ending. What I would've liked to see tho would have been some sort of color correction or perhaps some flicker or some sort of effect to make the loud actiony bit toward the end a bit more impactful. Small complaint tho. I loved it. 4/5
and also, I personally loved how you went about timing the piano keys, it didn't get repetitive for me. =p

oh, wow...lately I have been watching a few videos and usually I end up dumping them in the Recycle Bin but this one, this one is definitely a keeper. It gave me chills more than once, absolutely beautiful AMV, makes me need to go and edit now.
