Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hey. New member, with AMVs

Post by Renoo27 » Mon May 04, 2009 8:01 am

Heyhey. Been amvs for abouta year now. My fav anime is Elfen Lied, probably a bit too obsessed. I'm not ashamed to admit Elfen Lied is the most beautiful thing I've seen. I actually first saw it when I was around 14 (18 now), and it had me disturbed for weeks afterwards. The blood and nudity didn't affect me at all, it was the tragic sotry, the unrealistic complicated relationship between Lucy and Kouta.

Anyways, ya, to the amv. I'll just put up one for now. I think it's my best one, but, and I'm gonna sound really needy here, it's the one I recieved the least feedback on. But I'd really like to know what people think.

*Link edited out*

I'd probably need a lesson on how to upload them to here. ;) Anyways, look forward to chatting with yall.

Tip is to actually enter your video into the catalog before posting.

I'd stay far away from usedtube especially with their new policies.

Most people on this site really dont like streaming only. The only reason this site has it is for preview reasons so it always has a download with it.

On the main member's page go to:
Editors --> Enter Video
After you've entered all the information required of your video. On the main member's page go to:
Editors --> Upload video
Choose the video you want to upload and you will be taken to a page that will give you the username, password, and address of the FTP you need to upload to. If you are not familiar with FTP, use this guide.

Yeah I'll agree there. Another one of my AMVs got taken off cos of copyright.

Edit: Ah.. I'm reading the agreements fo uploading and it says no "graphic violence". I mean it has a bit.. but when Elfen Lied gets gory, it gets gory. Would it still be alright?

I've never watched Elfen Lied, but if you think it's about PG-13 material and there isnt limbs and blood flying everywhere through out the most of the video, you should be fine.

If in question, just get a mod to ok it before hand. Drop the question with a link in the mod drop box if you don't know one to pm directly.

If I am not mistaken, Elfin leid is usually oked as long as no limbs flying off are shown.
