Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

TwilightChrono vs. Neverend 2

Post by TwilightChrono » Sun Mar 01, 2009 5:25 am

Just what the title says. It was a 3 way IC between Neverend, Me and some dude named Mkid, who won. Congrats to the winner. Maybe I'll edit better next time.

lmfao.
Malik :|
Well I sort of liked yours better. As for neverend, he told me he was sick of editing and won't edit anything so he will lose.
But I'd say you beat malik. But seriously man, that arguement made you like a douche.

I cant believe you went and documented this as a win against neverend. You lost to mkid from the tube. I was judging and I declared that. Even the people who watched mkid's video and yours agreed. Is it because he was from the tube that you got so upset? Who.. freakin... cares? Honestly, there is nothing preventing anyone from the tube to become a great AMV maker. It's just they tend to meet up with other people from the org and get absorbed into our community. Plus, mkid is surrounded by good amv makers from both the tube and the org.

For you to give a one sided story like this is just horrible. I didnt base this soley on personal preference. Since I'm more awake now than at the time I judged, let me give a better explanation. Yours was random action with no depth. On top of that there was nothing innovative in your action. Nothing about it stood out to me. Your two sources could've been blended better together by using more street fighter footage also.

As for mkid's video, I felt that his source suited the section of the song he chose. I felt like I was actually watching the first 30 seconds of a real amv and when it ended it left me want more. Editing was flawless and mood was captured.

As for winning against neverend, he threw the match by choosing a different song to edit to. I wouldnt count it as a real win even if you did win. Seriously, I know amv makers that get pissed in tourneys when their opponents drop because they wanted a fight, but you just want your victory handed to you on a silver platter.

Anyways, thanks for bringing in Tube drama into the Org. I'm requesting a lock of this thread. Weather they decide to delete your video because it doesnt really qualify as a complete video is up to them.

It was a biast result, end of story.

What's the point in editing my brains out if that's all it takes to beat me.

I'm done arguing about it. The argument was stupid to begin with. I've had some time to sleep and think on it and I apologize.

Unfortunately, we can't delete the video entry for simply being an IC match video. There is no specific guideline that states we have to delete the entry on this video for being "incomplete". Also, there are also a lot of editors (myself included) who link to or upload locally IC match videos using the Org, whether complete or not.

It appears that TwilightChrono has stated his opinion and now has decided (as evidenced in his latest post) to let it lie, so let it lie.

The thread will not be locked at this time. Any flaming after this, however, will result in lock.

Thank you.
